COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divides Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yetis hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pint on draft. Did anyone mention this beer being dark? Looks beautiful with a thick black pour and frothy brown head. Lots of bitter chocolate and roasted coffee. Those 75 IBUs come through strong at the end with a piney bitter hop finish. Everything you want in an imperial stout.

355ml can @home, thanks Guillaume for the gift. Aroma: strong toffee, burned coffee cup caramel, molasses, light ashes. I also perceive some light fruits not sure what but it gives the impression of smelling refreshing which I like. App: pitch black with big frothy mocha head. Taste and palate: medium to full body, creamy, some cocoa in mouth, light smokey finish with moderate high bitterness. Overall: awesome look, good aroma and taste but too bitter for me. Still enjoyed it since I got used to it but wouldnt buy it.

I purchased this beer for a Himalayan-themed dinner party. Great color and a good pour with slight head. Now I enjoy strong, hearty stout and dark beers but this hoppy one comes off a bit too sweet at the start despite a pleasing aroma, a bitter middle and a milder aftertaste. Conclusion: A better than average beer but not something going into my rotation.

Bottle. Snifter. Pitch black with small, thick, light brown, slightly aggressive head. Poor head retention and lacing. Heavy malty aroma - mostly roasted malts (dark chocolate, roasted coffee), burnt caramel, slightly toffee and fudge. Also in the background light to moderate raisins, prunes. Taste is heavy sweet and moderate to highly bitter with long and stable duration. Full body, thick and oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is roasted, highly bitter and semi-dry. In overall very roasted and thick RIS, broken by some dark fruits and toffee accents. But its powerfulness comes in flavor, which is mainly raised, dry and bitter. Good brew, but not outstanding, neither knocking down.

355ml bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black. Beige line of froth around the glass. Notes of chocolate, coffee, cocanibs in the aroma. Rich and delicous aroma. Hints of cocoanibs and chocolate at first. Dry in the middle. Cocoanibs and datk bitter chocolate. Dry finish together with the taste if cocoa gives out almost peat. Rich, chocolaty aftertaste. Alcochol is present only after drinking when one feels the warmness in throat. Very well balanced, rather heavy bodied, moderately carbonated, very good imperial stout.

Bottle, 650ml. Opaque dark brown, creamy brown head. Deep roasted and hoppy aromas. Full bodied, fizzy carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Rich roasted and hoppy flavors into a smooth finish. Just my kind of Imperial Stout.
