COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

This an unstoppably complex beer. Pours pitch black with a tan almost maroon head. Aromas of raisins, coffee, and alcohol dominate the nose. The taste has various flavor from coffee to chocolate, from burnt toast to vanilla. Always with a subtle sweet chocolate finish lingering right at the back of the mouth. Malted milk and tobacco enter the palate as the beer warms up. Phenomenal. An almost perfect example of an imperial stout.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a small light brown head. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt. Texture is really creamy, and taste is of chocolate, coffee and dark malt. Hides its IBUs well. Nice one!

At Rocco’s, Seattle. Pours cloudy jet black with a diminishing, dark beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dough, caramel, hops and toffee. It tastes roasted at first, then light to medium caramel-like sweet and medium hoppy bitter. Medium long roasted finish, full, thick body, oily/syrupy texture, soft fizzy carbonation. Good complexity and sweeter than the Old Rasputin R.I.S. I had just before, but narrowly defeated by that one.

Love this beer, so dang good. I had it at the brewery in Denver and have had it numerous times since. A great imperial stout and one I definitely enjoy, given the chance. A solid imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good flavor with strong roasted coffee taste. Easy to drink for an imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big choc/coffee, fudge, and slight roasty flavors blend seamlessly with floral/piney hops. Bitter finish. Big flavors but remains easy to drink. Solid beer.

Black pour with a thin tan head. Roasty, coffee, chocolate, and slight citrus aromas. Taste is big coffee/chocolate hit, a little roast, but a nice toffee/fudgey sweet note too; as it warms up there is a bit of citrus there as well. This is a good one.

Bottle, pours black with a brown head. Aroma is earthy with citrus and roasttaste has espresso, cocoa, earthy notes, pine and tobacco. Lovely bitterness with a complementing sweetness. Rich, with a lingering finish. Excellent.

Thanks to wombat23. Pours black from the bottle. The light brown head is creamy and clings to the glass in a sticky web of lacing. Aroma is rich milk chocolate, toffee. Taste is very bitter with dark chocolate undertones. A bit too bitter for the style in my opinion, and leaving no room for either sweeter or berry undertones. Finishes acrid. Body is heavy, fudge-like, with mild carbonation. Overall okay, but not among my top in this style.
