Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, salty sea water. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask at the wasdale head inn, discribed to me as a strong mild, however having had it its defo a stout. Alround rating: Roasted malts, darker fruits, burnt toast, alc is felt less than tasted which is handy. Too roasty for me, but a well made beast all the same. Half pint pulled at the brewery’s pub - The Wasdale Head Inn - at Wasdale Head (Lake District). Dark with red tints and a yellowish foamy head. Strong roasetd coffee aroma. An enjoyable coffee flavour and very smooth. Yum.
