Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Bamberg Excursion. Cheers to Fergus for this one! Pours deep brown with a foamy tan head. Some earthy bitterness, charred malts, cocoa, burnt grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with more burnt malts, charred toast, grass. Good stuff.

Aromat palonych slodow , lekkiej kawy. Piana srednio obfita drobnopecherzykowa, szybko opada, ladnie koronkuje. Wysycenie niskie. W smaku dominuja palone slody, pojawia sie delikatna kawa i czekolada. Pojawia sie rowniez kwaskowatosc od slodow. Goryczka srednia w kierunku wysokiej.

Butelka, pod mosteczkiem, pite dosc cieple. w aromatach palonosc, amerykanskich chmieli nieco, zboze, bardzo w tle jakas czekoladowa-kawowosc. W smaku dosc analogicznie. goryczka raczej dosc wysoka. niezawiele ciala. niekiedy pojawiaca sie rozpuszczalnikowo-alkoholowa nutka. calkiem fajne

Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A deep brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, liquorice, some coffee, some dark chocolate, slight grapefruit and pine. Taste of pine, resin, roasted malts, dark chocolate, some orange, grapefruit and liquorice. Full bodied and a soft carbonation. A roasted, then resinous hop bitterness in the finish. A drink to sip, even at 6.5%. A good, bitter, resinous black IPA. Tastes a lot hoppier than most black IPAs, good.
