Lovely "red" style towards "porter" flavour beer. Delicious

Draught (Royal Oak, Oxford)
Lovely rich caramelly treacle aroma, some coffee-ish roast. Nice full roasty taste, some barley clear. Soft palate, smooth, quite full. Finish slightly dry and husky. Very easy quaff, may be a bit sweet in quantity, but just one is lovely.

Cask @ Kings Head, Barmby on the Marsh. Never a bitter in a month of Sunday’s. More a cross between a dark mild and a light stout. Decent drink all the same. Coffee, light liquorice and malt. Not heavy.

Cask at the Henry Addington Canary wharf. A reddy brown coloured pour with a lasting speckled cream coloured head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty malts, toasted brown bread, hint of pine, berry fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty malts, hint of liquorice, fudge, berries, red fruit. Palate is smooth and rounded, semi creamy, good cask condition. Nice. Had, a second pint.
