3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pint at the Bridge Newcastle - seems to have lost the "Famous" tag, It was just "Five". Lovely looking orange gold body with a crisp dense white head. Citrus aroma, and a lovely bitter citrus and sauvignon flavour. Quite full bodied for a blond - felt more like a bitter to me, but quite delicious anyway.
cask at Dagda. deep golden, sweet aroma of biscuit and citrus, complex hop profile that lingers on the palate. tasty but not an everyday drinker, at least not for me. fonefan (51064) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2013

A more than decent cask offering. unstablefable (232) - SCOTLAND - NOV 16, 2012
Dark golden with a medium white head aroma of sweet pine and grapefruit, there's also a smell that reminds me of cutting open a fresh pumpkin or butternut squash. Taste is a big hop blast which lasts a long time

Appearance: Clear, golden body. with a dense, lasting white head. No carbonation. Lots of sticky lacing.
Taste: Hops, hops and more hops. The initial sweetness is replaced with a lovely, lingering bitterness. Flavours of caramel and pine. There’s not a great depth to the flavour, but this is still a tasty beer. Light and moreish.
Palate: Smooth mouthfeel. Flat carbonation. Very dry.
Overall: A very hoppy, easy drinking ale. This is the first beer I’ve had by Great Heck - on this evidence, it won’t be the last.
