COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Madagascar is a far from traditional stout, made with a very high wheat content and additions of whole Madagascar vanilla pods late in the boil and during fermentation. Brewed with English hops, there is a balance of subtle flavours meaning the beer is surprisingly drinkable, smooth and satisfying. Great with desserts and cheeses, this is a beer for those occasions when you crave a break from the norm.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Barely any head, a wee bit lacing. Near black body. Nose is creamy vanilla, woody, roasted nuts. Flavour is roasted nuts, little bit spice, hints of vanilla, some coffee, gentle bitter finish. Very light carbonation, mouthfeel is a bit thin. Clean finish. Great nose and good flavour, just let down by the body.
