3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Very dark brown. Almost black. Too dark to see easily whether it was cloudy. Loose beige head. Fairly lively condition. Dry with quite strong bitterness lingering into the aftertaste. Not much vanilla in evidence and I didn’t think the wheat beer yeast made much of an impact either. Dry, clean and rather austere. Pretty decent overall.
Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Dark with a firm beige foam. Aromas are chocolate and banana with molasses. Hints of vanilla oak barrel with dark fruits. Flavours are sweet chocolate with wheat and a light earthiness. Dark toffee with winter berries and a very creamy palate. Very nice. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2014
On cask at Bridge Street Ale House, Newcastle Under Lyme. Pours black with creamy tan head. Vanilla is drowned out by the wheat but it is what it says it is. A good stout with a Hefeweizen background. Strange but good. Stuu666 (14563) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 2, 2014

Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a bubbly broken off white head. The aroma is dry earthy light roasted malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth soft light malt, light sweet vanilla, dark chocolate, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. imdownthepub (15137) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2014
Cask conditioned at York Beer Festival ’14. Dark brown with cream head. The overriding impression is of sweet vanilla and milky chocolate, more like the Milky Bar Kid than a serious attempt at a wheat beer, however there was nothing really wrong with it, so a reasonable mark. tommann (3900) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2010
Cask gravity at the Dudley Winter Beer festival. Pours near pitch black with no head. Aroma is wheat, some banana and faint roasted malt. Taste was wheat and faint banana to start. Roasted malt and wheat to finish. Could be a bit fuller.
