HogTownHarry (7077) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - JUL 6, 2017
September 20, 2013 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Hazy pale gold with minimal white head. Catty/funky aroma - like citra and fresh brett - terrific, if a bit raw. Taste citra/citrus zest - very very tart, not much brett peeking through. Light body and carbonation, fairly acidic in the long-ish non-coating back palate catty finish. Fun.

[5817-20130916] Tap. Mild lemony citrus aroma. Hazy, pale orange body with a quick foamy white head. Lightly bitter citrusy flavour has a yeasty bite. Medium body. Good. (7/3/8/3/16) 3.7

Where and how: on tap at Volo

Aroma milder funk, hinted with Brett work. Salty , slightly tart , tad lemony. Very pleasant set up.

Appearance :

Top: foamy with nice lace.

Base: slight haze on pale golden bottom.

Palate : softer mid with dry hop bite at end.

Taste: soft slippery brett character with drying, balancing hop character.

Other notes very tasty.

Blonde, aroma is lime, lemon, cantaloupe. Balanced, mod bitterness, cool brett fruits and refreshing tartness. Dry finish. The brett is really on point.

Pours light gold with a minimal, creamy white head. Aroma of citrusy and dank hops, with substantial funky brett character and a slight lactic acid aroma. Taste is lightly sweet up front, with lots of hop flavour, light malt, some more funk, and a soft hop finish. Excellent balance in a unique beer.

On tap at Bar Volo. Interesting bretty ale, good drinkability. A little lace, a tad of farmhouse ale.

blankboy (7833) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2013
Draught at Bar Hop, Sep.20. Pours a hazy yellow/pale gold with a spare diminishing frothy white head. Awesome aroma with lots of brett along with lots of hops, some tropical fruit and malt in the back. Interesting flavour, it’s bretty, fruity and with a nice bitter finish -- it’s so tasty -- if I had to nitpick it’s just an itty bit watery. Average bodied. Fantastic stuff, I loved it!

Pale golden-yellow pour, light opalescent haze and a thick sticky white
head. Gorgeous flinty brett nose. Tropical pineapple and citrus/mango
hoppiness as well. There is still a touch of crackery malt coming through
nicely. Fresh and complex with a firm clean bitterness. Just awesome stuff.

neongolden (1860) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 20, 2013
(Draught at Barhop, Sept 19 2013) Poured a pale hazy yellow with a big dense white head, left lace. Aroma of tangerine and earth/barnard funk. Palate quite similar, moderate orange hopping up front, some funky yeast character, a little barnyard/"horse blanket". Slight cereals, somewhat hop-bitter, yeast persisted on the finish, dry. Mouthfeel fairly light and smooth, carb not too high by the time I got to my sample. Not a bad APA-type beer with Brett prominent and not overpowering. I’ll have to try again, it was up against some stiff Brett competition at the GLB/Bellwoods takeover.

On tap at bar hop. Hazy straw pour with a thin white head. Mild aromas of yeast, bitter tropical fruit, earthy funkiness. Low carbonation. Mouthfeel is light and thin. Mild bitterness throughout with a dry finish. Enough of the Brett to make it interesting but otherwise extremely smooth and sessionable.
