[4180-20111209] Tap. Mild grainy leaves aroma. Hazy, brown amber body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Strange pepper grain flavour builds itís heat intensity over time. Medium body. Interesting, not overpowering with the peppers. (6/3/7-/3/14) 3.3

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2012 Bottle from january project X, this batch is 5.8% abv. Neutral colour with small but thick head, excellent appearance of the lacing. Mild but significant pepper aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel, very good drinkability. Balanced tasty .
Still very tasty version of roasted chiles had at cask project x, but not as good. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2012
My Bottle [22oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. Pours a deep amber-copper with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma is jalapeno alright and, well, not much else, maybe some malt. Flavour of jalapeno yeah, but itís more balanced, along with caramel malt, some light hops and fruit. Medium bodied. You have to like jalapeno, thatís for sure, but I enjoyed it. HogTownHarry (6622) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2012
22oz bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Deep reddish-amber with a large lasting frothy off-white head. Strong vegetable aroma - jalapeno and ... earth; not offensive, but ..... taste follows - strong earthy character, with cucumbers and dry herbal bitterness - interesting, not offensive. Fairly thick body, mild carbonation, astringent and acidic (duh- peppers), a dry, slightly gritty finish. Not all that "hot" so donít be shy - this ainít no "El Lapino" ... thank goodness. garthicus (2925) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 1, 2012
Thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Hazy copper, thick snow white head. Aroma: Fresh jalape√Īos, a little malt. Flavour: Tangy pine hops, suddenly making way for jalape√Īos, earthy and malty, a little spice tingle on the tongue, long peppery hop finish. I like it !

2011-12-09. Lightly hazy dark amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Fairly malty, jalapeno character comes out more as it warms, and as you drink more. Sweet up front, peppery middle, bitter finish. 5+ Average plus bodied palate. The intensity of the jalapenos varies a lot based on the temperature of the beer. Not overly burny but a lot of jalapeno flavour, strong jalapeno aroma once it warms up. Best jalapeno beer I have had by a long shot, it actually lets the underlying beer show through a bit, but still not to my own tastes since I donít particularly like jalapeno.
