COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its been said that Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity. This beer doesnt help much with that crisis. From the fiercely irresponsible stereotypical image on the front of the can to the distinctly American style of the beer inside it weve really made a mess of things. What have we done? Sorry.

(473mL can from LCBO) Poured cool, a slightly hazy medium gold with a rocky white head that faded quickly. Aroma citrus-dominated, some grapefruit in particular, faint malt. Flavour again hoppy, a little malty sweetness at first but strongly grapefruit pith, citrus, quenching and a little acidic. Moderate bitterness coming in, finishes tinny and dry. Body fairly lightweight, high soda-pop carbonation, Not too complex but a very refreshing summer pale ale.

Was surprised to see I never rated this one. Has golden amber colour and shows some lacing. the aroma is only slightly malty and so those hoppy notes dominate, notes of citrus and grassy herbal. On the palate is hoppy bitter with a fast but bitter finis. Medium bodied and much tastier on cask than can, could use a bit more weight but overall not a bad brew.

473ml can from LCBO. Aroma: tropical fruits, pineapples, oranges. App: hazy golden, small white ring in the middle. Taste and palate: medium body, resinous, average carbonation, clean light bitter finish. Overall: not bad but finish is too clean for me and not enough bitter.

Pretty good APA. Very hoppy nose and on the flavor as well...maybe a bit much, but some malts came through as well.

Definitely one of Canadas best pale ales. Despite this being labelled as "seasonal" I consider this their "standard brew" and it shows how strong they are at their craft. Does not have a hint of the taste of Etobicoke. Nicely hopped nicely balanced. Clap clap clap.

bottle. Poured clear copper with a rocky off-white lasting head. Inviting floral hop aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a creamy texture. Flavours of caramel, grapefruit and a lingering herbal hoppiness throughout . Im not a huge fan of APAs but I could drink this one.

A - Hoppy, citrusy, with caramel notes A - The orange side of orangy-brown with thick long lasting head. T - Sweet, followed by sour and bitter citrus finish P - Oily, with ample soft carbonation O - A good complex beer, but almost too much going on.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2010 Hello Ontario! 22oz bottle from LCBO. Pours a lovely, clear golden. Aroma is indeed buttery and sharp with hops. The taste is well worked. Floral, citrusy hops evident with a bready malt backing. Good lingering bitterness in the finish. I would also agree that this does remind me of Tankhouse but I wasnt put off by the butteriness (is that a word?). The patriotic angle might just be shrewd, especially during the Olympics. Go Canada Go.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2014 Cant believe this is my first time trying this. Pours honey brown with a soft cap that gives up its ghost quickly but offers serious lacing as the beer makes its way down the glass. Aroma promises hops & while they dont pop as much as Id want they balance well with the bitterness. I prefer their more creative offerings but this is a solid pale ale that delivers what youd want.
