COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its been said that Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity. This beer doesnt help much with that crisis. From the fiercely irresponsible stereotypical image on the front of the can to the distinctly American style of the beer inside it weve really made a mess of things. What have we done? Sorry.

From my Ontario trip. +++ Sampled from a 473 ml can this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a huge creamy-soapy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweet and had moderate vague fruity and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and tangy with citric, fruity and leafy floral hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

473ml can. Minimally cloudy golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma, citrusy hoppy overtones, hints of grapefruit and pine. Taste is bitter hoppy, citrusy, notes of grapefruit, a touch of lemon, caramel malty background with a biscuity touch; super soft palate, fairly lasting crisp bitter hoppy finish. Clean, precise, superb soft mouth-feel.

Appearance : clear , crystal bright with large creamy , foamy top. Ring of lace on glass.4-
Nose: Bittering hops up front , bit of malt. Clean.
Flavor/Palate : Mid body , mid low carbonation with harsher sides. Clean bitter finish. Bitter leafy front, refreshing qualities, drinkable with fine finish. Proper bitterness, not full IPA, more of less crystal oriented amber ale.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2011 Draught. At Harbord House. Clear pale amber, smallish offwhite head with decent lacing. Bitter aroma, floral and slightly sweet - kind of generic. Taste is solid - quite dryly bitter with background floral/fruity sweetness - reminds me a lot of Mill Street Tankhouse back when it was still good and hoppy and not a burnt metallic stale mess. Average body and mouthfeel with strong carbonation and a nice long bitter finish ... Dry-hopped? - re-rating from the newer can release - incredible C-hop aroma on it now, one of my go-to beers, I always have at least half a dozen can in my fridge - well done, Mike!!!! Bottle: Poured a medium copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral and lightly bitter hops is interesting. Taste is also dominated by some notes of floral and bitter hops with traces of pines and a decent caramel malt backbone. Body is about average with good carbonation. Missing some hops but still very drinkable.

Rich amber coloured body with a copper glow and a nice, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of super fresh hops, earth, caramel and a touch of grain. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour at first with some subdued earth, toffee, caramel and rye flavours and a lot of fresh hop bitterness toward the end. Aftertaste shows a bit of grass, a lot of caramel and some toffee as well. Overall, a nice and respectable beer with a lot of fresh hop notes and some subtle caramelised sugar flavours throughout. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from the LCBO on Wellngton (underground) near York Street a few hours ago on 08-August-2016 for CA$2,65 sampled in my hotel room a few hours later here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 08-August-2016.

Can (473 ml). Extra from TheJester, thanks Andy! Slightly hazy golden/amber with a medium off-white head, good retention and good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, malt and floral hops... simple yet effective. Taste is slightly sweet with citrus, floral notes, malt and a light bitter finish. Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Dry finish. Very good American Pale Ale. Drinkable and well balanced. A tad too malty, but still really enjoyable.
