Lucky enough to try on tap at the Bent Elbow. Hazy yellow, foamy white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, citrus and tropical fruits. Taste: Belgian spice, spine, sweet fruity hops, and a bitter finish. Thick body, great mouthfeel. Enjoyed this one - well done Great Lakes and Black Oak, this is why I love you both! pootzboy (1779) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2013
On tap @ Bent Elbow - taps a hazy deep gold with a puffy cap. Aroma is pungent and awesome - apricot, citrus, pine, spice with Belgian yeast funk. Taste is a wonderful amalgam of fruits spice and plae malts with citrusy-piney hop offset...finishes lightly dry and hoppy-fruity. Much like an abbey blonde with Duvel strength. Sample on tap at Imbibe (Kitchener). Pours amber-orange with white head. Some lacing. Amazing aroma, very fruity (apricot, mango) with some hops and a tad of alcohol Full bodied beer. Little lack of balance (alcohol not so well hidden), but overall, a very good I2PA sudomorph (1176) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2013
473ml can form brewery.
Pours a hazy, dirty golden colour with a one finger, off-white head.
Aroma has notes of candy sugar, Belgian yeast, lemon and orange citrus, and hints of pine and spice.
Taste is bitter with some funk. Mildly bitter/semi citrus fruit, alcohol warmth finish.
Medium body with a medium frothy, carbonation.
Pretty clean in the mouth with a touch of slickness.
Overall, not your typical Double IPA. Reminds me of a mix of a IIPA and a Belgian Saison. Not saying that’s bad, just kinda the Jack of All Trades, Master of None. pfriesen (113) - Richmond Hill, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2013
Cloudy golden pour with light lacing. Tropical fruit and orange blossom on the nose, sugarcane and white cherry flavours dominate the body

A bright hazy yellow pour with a thick white head. The nose has a lot of tropical citrus and spicy yeast. Fresh and fruity with a nice softly hoppy finish. Really solid. neongolden (1725) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 2, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2013 (Project X bottle from brewery - labeled as a Belgian Strong, 9.5%, 55IBU) Pours a slightly hazy pale orange with a decent head of white froth leaving some lace. Aroma is a blend of fruit from Belgian yeast/malt and from hops - there are rich sweet peach/tropical fruit notes, a bit of herbal/lemon freshness, that coconut-like richness and some alcohol. Flavour is pretty sweet to start, that rich Belgian candy sugar/malt character with orange (fruit and zest) prominent among a lot of general fruitiness. There’s more of that coconut type note mid-palate, some herbal hops, and then the beer dries out and a moderate, slightly spicy hop bitterness finishes it off. Mouthfeel is reasonably thick and syrupy with soft carbonation, and somewhat noticeable alcohol. Interesting - not quite sure what the style is, not quite sure I care! It’s a good blend of malt, yeast and hops fruit characters, and it’s quite tasty.
