On tap @Imbibe - deep lushious brown-black ale with a frothy 2 finger cap. Aroma is pungent roasty aromas over light sweetness with some grassiness. Sturdy body, very smooth and viscous. Flavor is coffee-cocoa maltiness with enough bittering to ballance light sweetness vanishes in the long wet bittering finish, nice roasty snap at the end. A world class porter every bit as good if not better than Meantime. Well done GLB! JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2011
Cask at C’est What. Deep black pour with a tight brown head. The aroma has a lot of cocoa and some softly roasty. There is a little bit of roast and some chewy herbal aroma. Soft and a little bit earthy. Some chewy character as well as a touch of black patent malt. A lot of roast and a fairly assertive bitterness along with a little bit of toast as well. Really tasty stuff. Spab (3785) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2013
650 ml (Project X) bottle from brewery. Pours an ultra dark brown with dense light brown head. Roasty cocoa, espresso and fruity hints in the aroma. Flavour is fairly rich roasty/smoky malt with strong cocoa presence, some coffee and gentle notes of dark, dried fruit. Average plus body. Quite nice.

Best imperial Porter around. Rich and deep like a stout, with complex flavours, not a one note beer. Easy enough to drink, great choice for winter relaxing but could also do a summer BBQ in moderation. A kind of hidden gem with all the attention the IPAs get, this one is top notch. UPDATED: JAN 7, 2017 Half pint @Hungry Brew Hops in Newmarket, Ontario. Black/brown with Nice tan, frothy head and amazing lace. Big, bold roasted malts with some hop and wood content. Taste is very roasted with vanilla and chocolate, backed up by some earthy tones. Medium to full-bodied with a very balanced, but layered character. Finishes with a good bitterness. Fantastic porter. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2012
Cask at at Rhino for Project X. Pours a nice looking very dark brown with ruby highlights and a small diminishing creamy light-brown head. Aroma starts with coffee followed by roasted malt and some chocolate. Delicious flavour of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, cream, some light leafy hops and a roasty bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. One of the best Porters I’ve had in quite a while, fantastic. garthicus (2925) - Dublin, IRELAND - JAN 27, 2012
