A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy resinous floral hops, light citrus pulp, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, light mineral notes, nice and smooth, quaffable. On tap at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Growler from the Summerhill LCBO. Pours a gazed bright golden colour with good-sized white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is bright tropical fruit with some citrus, light spice and pale malt. Flavour is pineapple, orange and lemon with light grassy spiciness and some grainy pale malt. Carbonation on the softer side. Nice one.

[4343-20120322] 341mL bottle. Light pencil lead (oregano?) fancy paper mulch aroma. Hazy, tan orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Burnt pencil wood flavour has a very bitter rancid butter wood base. Medium body. I am not convinced it’s in it’s best shape but it is a recent bottle so am very confused. Maybe I just really really don’t like the bitterness? (7/4+/3/2/10) 2.6

2012-03-22. Dark yellow, small frothy white head. Sort of floral, vague note of oregano/graphite? mild pale malt. Flavour is mild, sweet pale malt base, light bitterness, cereally touches in the finish. Average plus palate seems both watery and fuller than average at the same time. Bit odd, simple but quaffable. Seems almost like a hoppier version of the Golden Horseshoe, rather than a lighter version of Crazy Canuck which is what I was hoping for. Bottle from the brewery January 2012
