COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
News of any new hop coming from the Yakima Valley perks the ears of IPA brewers everywhere, but, with Citra, things were different. The buzz was bigger. As Citra’s wave rolled across the land from the west coast we waited... and waited. Finally it crested, and a sample crashed into our pilot system. After brewing with it all the buzz made sense. Comments ranged from "Well that changes the game" to "It’s so good it feels like we’re cheating." Today we procure as much as Citra as we can to bring you as much of this IPA as our little brewery can muster. All hail Citra!

473 mL can picked up from my local LCBO. Pours a beautiful golden cloudy colour with a nice and large white head. Aromas of orange peels, citrus, tropical fruits, and yeast. Tastes of tropical fruits and zest, body is very carbonated. Very bitter, with a hoppy and slightly fruity finish. Very surprised by this beer, one of the best IPA's I've ever had!!!

La Yakima de la brasserie Le Castor est le barème absolu mais celle-ci est très proche de l'excellence.

Krazy Hazy orangy hue with off white head. Sharp citrus aroma, very a-pealing. Zest, rind, spice, sweet. Flavour has a lot of texture going on, it compliments the nose and body very well. Citrus bitters dance across the tongue. Body gravitates towards watery but I think that is a personal thing but in general I think it is well balanced. Has a nice dry finish.

Very faint hazy honey pour, with short foamy cream coloured small bead head. Loads of tropical citra accents in the nose. Pine gum, lemon/lime/pineapple. All that translates into the flavour, and it sits on top of crusty baguette type malts and yeastiness. Mild standard wild sour/bret yeasts mingle together very well. The body is soapy, but clean with a bit of burnt herbs/grass through the finish. The commercial description doesn't really do it justice. It's got all that citra in there, but it's not heavy-handed. Very very good.
