COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The weather channel describes Lake Effect snow as a “mass of sufficiently cold air moving over a body of water creating an unstable temperature profile in the atmosphere.” Who cares. This beer, however, has nothing to do with that drivel. It was inspired by a summer spent drinking heaps of IPAs on a stoop on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo, NY.

500ml can from Richard. Pours pale yellow slightly hazy. Nose floral and spicy hops. Taste spicy hops herbal. Finish quite spicy and bitter. A bit yeasty also. Nice fruity hops. Really nice hops. Malty finish. Great stuff !

Bright and hazy pale gold-orange, on the lighter side for an IPA - likewise with the aroma. Much more hoppy and fruity than malty. Nice pine and grapefruit on the nose, which all the GLB pale ales seem to have. Subdued but noticeable tropical fruit, maybe a bit of banana as well. Malt is fairly low but there’s enough to give it body. Taste manages to be refreshing and flavourful - starts off with lightly bready malt and grain, then turns very sweet with tangerine, mango and grapefruit. Piney finish is smooth. Palate is bubbly for an IPA, but suitable for the product. Karma Citra and Thrust have this beat, but it’s still a happy day when I find this on the shelves.

Pours cloudy gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma is fruity. Taste is pretty well balanced with a sweet light grainy malt backbone. Notes of orange, grapefruit, resin, and possibly onion. A surprisingly crisp, dry finish. Light to medium bodied with plenty of carbonation. Very easy drinker for so much flavour.

Can dated Jan. 10: Pours a light orange, slightly cloudy, white head that quickly dissipates, lacing. Usual hoppy aroma that’s orange & tropical fruit/mango forward. Strong bitterness, overly fizzy carbonation, long dry finish. Overall: Good IPA, but a bit unnecessarily hopped.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2017 One of the best IPA from Ontario. Appearance: cloudy, light orange. Smell: spicy, juicy citrus, with slightly soil-like hops. Taste: spicy, resinous and juicy citrus, very unique almost grassy and surprisingly dry, thanks to nice bitterness. Hints of Nelson Sauvin aromas. Low to moderate, fine and subtle carbonation contributes to texture and rather high drinkability. Overall: definitely one of the most unique, above average eastern Canada american IPA.

Pours hazy light orange with a big white head that laces the glass. Aroma is grapefruit, orange and tropical fruits. Great flavours with a good bitter finish. Well done.

Cannette. Jaune assez foncé, arôme explosif de houblons. En bouche, belle base maltée qui laisse les houblons exploser à leur guise. Encore une excellente offrande.

Love this beer. Might be my fave IPA being brewed in this province. Soft aromas of dill, lemon, tropical citrus. Flavour is juicy, fresh tasting with a nice dry bitter finish.

Can at home. Pours a hazy orange brown with a white head. Big aroma - lots of nectarine. Medium body, medium carbonation. Light orange sweetness with pine, floral stuff, light sherbet... Lovely balance. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Solide IPA, Au nez, forte senteur de pamplemousse, agrume, orange. En bouche, résineux et pamplemousseux! Finale Agrumé à souhait, eh, non pas vrai, épineux avec une excellente amertume!!
