On tap at Chancey Smith’s- Many samples. Deep hazed yellow, pours a frothy and rocky cap that has super sticky qualities. Instant nose of Amarillo hops, pine, lemon drop, grapefruit. Very bitter and hoppy. Again, big on the Amarillo in the flavour. Pine and resniy hop goodness meet citrus fruit and some clove like spice. Long bitter finish. Refreshing and quenching summer brew! tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2011

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a big frothy white head. Aroma of wheat, sweet fruity esters, tropical fruit and orange. Taste is wheat, orange, tropical fruit and some piney hops. Excellent wheat ale with a nice hop bit and crisp refreshing finish. pootzboy (1739) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2010
Bottle: I’m told this is bottle conditioned but I assume this is cask brew finished in the bottle rather than the a cask.
Pours a cloudy golden ale in the flute with a solid puffy cap...great lacing. Nice soft natural carbonation.
Aroma is unique for a Weizen this has a pungent bouquet of fruity esters mingled with PNW hops; exotic fruits-banana-citrus...light biscuit aroma.
Soft mouth feel... biscuity, citrus resinous hopping, dry citrusy finish. Bright flavors but not the fruit basket the aroma promised...lacking spice phenols.
I got a couple of these and I suspect as a bottle conditioned weiss it may take a couple more weeks to have all the flavors develop. I’ll sample it again. Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 20, 2011
Bottle, thanks to jerc. Pours lightly cloudy yellow, 2-finger foamy white head, very persistent, fine lacing. Nose is pretty citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit predominantly, with hints of wheat behind, nice smelling beer! Flavours of grapefruit, spice, creamy body, nice bitter finish. I could drink this all day! Fun fact: Consumed while I was brewing a 4.5%, heavily hopped, wheat beer. Hopefully mine turns out as nice!

Special Project X bomber. Clear off-gold with abundant white puffy head. Aromas citrus and a bit of grass. Taste is pretty hoppy with grapefruit rind and lemon and a light green herbal character, and under this a light feel. Some ganga-like character, possibly Simcoe? Amarillo and Centennial. Lacking a bit of fruit and body (GL beers seem to go lean or heavy on malts.) Overall? Surprised this is not sweeter, like a Hefe (given the name) but that’s OK. neongolden (1649) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2013
(on cask at Bryden’s, Toronto, July 2013) Pours a very hazy darker yellow-gold with a helping of white cask froth that left lace. Aroma is hop-forward, tropical fruit and citrus peel and a bit of resin, a little grain in there but that big cask aroma overpowers the wheat. Flavour is not really as punchy as the aroma, with light tropical fruit and citrus and a bit of malt sweetness giving way to slight lemony character, wheat, a bit of hop resin bitterness, and a dry finish. Body is fairly light, a smooth cask pint, maybe a little bit watery. Good, lightweight, refreshing to gulp. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - JAN 18, 2012
Thanks to JB84 for this. The design of this bottle is so atrocious that its pretty hilarious. Brilliant. Pours a cloudy golden. Lots of grapefruit aroma. Tastes quite a bit of wheat, coriander, citrus with a bit of resinous hops. This is pretty decent. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2013
Golden to light orange colour, slightly cloudy. I’m surprised by the amount of orange and fruity hops in the aroma. There isn’t any hint of esters and if i were to smell this blind i’d swear it was more like a pale or something like this. On the palate the hoppy bitterness is present has some acidity, medium body and has a empty mid-palate but overall drinks like an ale. A very different take on the style. Like it alot. Cloudy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is mild citrus and subtle bubble gum. Decent body and flavour is sharp citrus and nice edgy bitters.
