Cask at Cest What Sep 25, 2010. Clear deep mahogany with a decent lasting creamy beige-tan head. Pungently hoppy aroma - yep, the Miami Weisse is the backbone of this puppy - some yeast, mildly roasty with caramel sweetness, but it’s mostly fresh and strong grassy/resin hop bitterness (almost catty) - me like. Taste is ... a tad harsh; very bitter indeed, but almost to grassy, both green and even burnt - it may have whipsawed my palate; I detected no alcohol, just a hint of roast, and BITTERNESS. Astringent, average body, weakly carbonated, with an intense and long bitter finish, it leaves an aftertaste almost like slightly scorched grapefruit pith. Interesting, but it needs some identifiable malt character, maybe slightly fruity, or ... whatever - I like my bitter beers, so while it needs to be better balanced, I still liked it. blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2010
Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2010’. Pours a very dark brown with a spare bubbly tan head. Nice aroma, quite hoppy for a Dunkel. The flavour follows, nice and hoppy. Average to medium bodied. This is friggin’ good -- wow! mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 24, 2010
[3391-20100925] Cask. Green caramel hops aroma. Hazy, dark brown black body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Light roasty green bean hops flavour has quite a nice roast characteristic. Medium body. Great balance, a nice young bitter.

Cask(?) Sample at Toronto Beer Experience 2010. Reddish amber pour with generous head. Roasted malts in aroma. Medium bodied. Wheat beer character not present. Somewhat bitter. Sample was not enough to form a clear impression. I’d like to try this again. thb (831) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 1, 2010
A really interesting style of beer done well. Manages to capture the lively, fruity (grapefruit, banana?) nature of the weizen and marry it with the bitter, roasty, refreshing dunkel. And they nailed it! Pours wonderfully foamy dark dark red, with bright flavours emerging as soon as it his the tongue. Yum!

650 ml "Project X" bottle from brewery. Pours a dark red/brown with moderate-sized tan head. Very nice aroma with grapefruit hoppiness and a light roastiness. Flavour bursts with grapefruit hoppiness, roast/chocolate is almost too subtle. Nice medium body and pleasant, lasting bitter finish. Bit of a one-noter but it’s a very nice note. On tap at C’est What - came a dark brown, good clarity, some reddish highlights, and a solid one-finger pillowy head. Lovely fresh hop aroma, juicy grapefruit, but with the added backdrop of dark malt complexity. Flavours of grapefruit flesh, chocolate, and a round nuttiness. Finishes grapefruit seed bitter, with a very moreish quality. Highly drinkable, and another winner from GLB. Think I (just very slightly) prefer the regular Miami Weisse, but this is one very, very good beer. Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - SEP 27, 2010

Aroma lovely hop aroma , aromatic citrus with deep deep inside hint of chocolate. 7+
Appearance dark brown with medium beige top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied , crisp , fresh with lots of hops in it. Dark malts were not really well shown. Refreshing bitter brew. Light on wheat character yet I did not mind that.
2010-09-25. Very dark brown body with a creamy frothy brown head and lace. Flavour is significantly more bitter and hoppy than I expected. Pleasantly hoppy, but the malty base makes only brief appearances. 7+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, green leafy hop character. 7+ Smooth average plus palate. Bit one dimensional, and too hoppy to show off much of a weisse or dunkel character, but it was rather enjoyable. Cask at Brydens, Toronto Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 26, 2010
The clear winner of the C’est What Fall Festival of craft brewers. Good hop aroma, dark charachter. Dark chocolate colour with white bubbly head. A good hoppiness, 50 IBU grapefruit juice. Lots of lace, good drinkability, medium plus mouthfeel.
