Grapefruit, citrus aroma. Nice bitter hoppy tropical fruit flavour which cleans up quickly; not a lot of depth unfortunately.....but a nice beer. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2013
650 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in an English pint glass. Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has lots of pine, along with citrus, flowers and tropical fruit. The flavour is moderately bitter throughout with pine, spice and biscuity malts. The finish is moderate in length, dry and bitter with plenty of citrus. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dry texture, average carbonation and a fair astringency in the finish. Overall, this is a nice IPA with big hops and an attempt at balance. Refreshing and well made. 2013-06-11 Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 1, 2013
Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a hazy orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, pale malts, citrus, grapefruit a d some fruity esters. Taste is caramel, grapefruit and resin. Bitterness is a bit harsh but overall a good mix of hops and malts. Nice full bodied ipa. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 1, 2013
Pours a hazy amber with a big initial white head that slowly settles to a small but full covering leaving moderate lace up the glass. Aroma is fruity, grapefruit and grainy. Flavour is sweet then bitter grapefruit, high bitterness that lingers and an underlying sweet malt on the finish. wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - SEP 11, 2013
Pours nice manuka honey orange colour with a nice thing white cap that leaves behind some lacing. The aroma is big on hops, piney, grapefruit, cat piss, mango, pineapple. The flavour is also very hoppy, piney, grapefruit, some light tropical notes get overshadowed by the dominating bitter grapefruit notes, little malts to be found. Too unbalanced for my tastes, but still a good effort, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Great Lakes Brewery - My Bitter Wife IPA
Very clear orange pour with a light white head. The grapefruit citrus scent is a lot weaker than most Pale Ales. Yep it’s a pale aLe. Strong one too. Grassy. spicy and that finish lasts a very long time. One of these days I hope the LCBO stops this fascination with new Pale Ales. Johnsense (1669) - - JUN 24, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 14, 2016 Fresh bottle drank and reviewed a couple weeks ago, but not uploaded thanks to a shitty Rogers service. Hazy orange pour, 2 fingers of head. Grapefruit and grass in the aroma. Tropical fruit is fairly prominent here, grapefruit, lemon, orange, mango, grass, caramel - fairly balanced. Medium body. cfrancis (3446) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2013
Pours a hazy dirty yellow with a reddish hue. Aroma is a sharp grapefruit hop flavours and small cereal. Taste is a beautiful grapefruit and citrus hop flavouring and bitterness. Slightly balanced with straw grain malts. This needs to be a regular item. So good. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUN 3, 2013
bottle, copper orange pour, lots of fruit here, tropical, mango, grapefruit led bitterness. Balanced flavor, great bitterness. Great IPA Kekumba (4) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2013 does not count
Month old bottle from the LCBO. Hazy orange pour. Smells very tropical. Pineapple, passion fruit, citrus. Grapefruit, peach, and pine for the flavour. Not picking up much in the way of malts. I like the comparison to Five Alive. Odd, but accurate. Certainly bitter, medium mouthfeel overall. It’s very good.
