Deep gold in colour with incredible aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and mango, My Bitter Wife is an IPA for the serious hop-heads out there. Full bodied, subtle malt notes with a pleasant and balanced bitterness obtained using some Simcoe, Columbus and Centennial hops, it finishes dry with a lingering hop presence that leaves you wanting more. My Bitter Wife will be sure to awaken your senses with each sip.

Carrie Nation was a nearly unstoppable force behind the temperance movement. She fought a long and hard battle, hacking at the legs of libation. My Bitter Wife is our tribute to her!

Pours a hazy amber with foamy off white head that’s very lacy. Aromas of floral hops, citrus and mango. Tastes strong of hops and very bitter that coats the mouth.

Pours a frothy, slightly tan head and has a hazy, pale golden amber appearance. Decent lacing. Floral and citrus hop aromas, light yeasty notes, breads and sweet malts. Citrus hop flavours abound, mild yeast and also a bit of barley noticeable. Spice and resin hops are also in the mix. Nice bitter mouthfeel, drying as well as mouthcoating sensation. Quite smooth. Lively carbonation. Great balance of bitterness and sweetness. Much more bitter in the finish, which is fine, at 88ibu’s. Good stuff.

Can - 473ml. Hazy amber body with a thick, white foamy head. Good hoppy aroma with citrusy and mango hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries herbal, woody, and citrusy notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Good stuff.

On tap at Louis Cifer, Toronto (it’s a lot better than anything made there...).
Pours a cloudy amber/orange colour with a generous white head. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, pine. Taste is similar. Excellent beer!

Pours cloudy amber with a small off white head. Big grapefruit nose with pine and tropical fruits. Taste is much the same with a great bitter.  Medium body and low carbination. These guys nailed it.  I’ll definitely be drinking this again.

Keg (6.5% ABV) at Bar Hop. Hazy golden/amber body with a thin head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and orange. Flavour of grapefruit, grassy hops and a light hop spice finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Crisp and hoppy.

DuffMan (10727) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 19, 2016
On tap @ Beer Brothers Bistro in Ottawa. Medium orange, clear, lacy white head. Big pine and grapefruit nose, more pine on the palate, quite resinous, low malt sweetness, long bitterness. These guys are nailing the hoppy brews, another fantastic IPA!

ametras (1751) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 15, 2016
473ml can. Cloudy amber with a frothy off-white head. Flavors are pineapple, mango, honeyed cereals, citrus and pine resin with grassy and dank notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.

Tranquillity (2531) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2016
Draft at bar hop 2. Hazy yellow body, small white head. The aroma is very fruity and has a lot of bitterness. The body is nicely acidic and has fruit, but a bit too bitter.
