Cask sample at Volo Cask Days 2008. Dark golden-amber with no head. Powerful aroma of sweet peach and pepper. Flavour has some peach off the top, but with a strong a building heat that eventually sets the back of my throat on fire. On cask at Volo. Appearance: Orange with a small head. Aroma: Over ripe peaches, some definite pepper sauce like aroma. Flavour: Lots of pepper, nice throat warming sensation, some peach as an afterthought. I really enjoyed this. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 17, 2009
[1808-20081020] Cask. Super sugary peach (like peach rings) and sweet caramel aroma. Clear, brown amber body with a quick bubbly white head. Sweet peach and hot pepper flakes flavour, not much else noticeable. Medium body. Very interesting but could not finish for the pepper.

Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2008. Where’s the love? This wasn’t bad at all - buncha wimps; ooooh, it was SPICY ... at least it didn’t taste like rancid dirt (I’m looking at you Cave Creek and El Lapino ...). Slightly hazy light amber pour, pretty much no head - hey, it’s cask. Aroma of caramel malt and solid black pepper. Taste - hot! - black pepper and extra zing, the peach is there for about 1/2 a second, then eventually emerges after the heat dies down, all cloying and fruity-sweet. Slick, thick, hot mouthfeel, not much carbonation, but I dug it just fine - not something I would likely have again, but I think this would pair awesomely with spicy/sweet Thai food. Appearance: Fine haze on sunny amber , fizzy fine top noted. 3-
Nose: Aroma of hot and green peppers, vegetable mix bottom.
Flavor/Palate : Very hot , spicy character. Chili pepper with some malt noted. Harsh , bold and rough. One to try once.
Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2008’. Pours a hazy orange-copper with no head. Aroma’s very peppery (and I love pepper!) along with some malt and subtle peach. Flavour: Oh, I love this! Fruity along with sweet malt and lots of pepper in the finish. Average to medium bodied. 2008-10-20. Orange-copper body, headless. Aroma is like sweet peach syrup saturated with hot peppers. Flavour shows just a brief touch of sweet peach before completely succumbing to peppers. It tastes like burning! Average plus palate. Jeebus. Over the top, not super enjoyable unless you really like pepper and heat. Interesting, but rough. Volo Cask Days 2008. Very pungent aroma. Very much like a chile beer in overall context. Pepper, even red pepper on the way down. If there was peach, it was well back in the sweet finish. on cask at volo for cask days 2008. golden with no head and minimal carbonation. aromas are of sweet peach with pepper in the background. the sweetness from the fruit and malts is abundant but then the pepper kicks in. the finish is all black pepper and although the first sip wasnt to encouraing this one grew on me as i sipped. interesting but not something i would ever have more then one sample of in a day.
