In our pursuit to bring you the most flavourful and unique beers possible, we are proud to release this tasty autumn ale. Handcrafted with an assortment of specialty malts and hops, we added a generous amount of pumpkin directly into the brew. Combine this with hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and allspice, and you’ve got a beer that you won’t soon forget. Rich, satisfying and slightly spicy, our seasonal ale goes perfectly with your favourite dessert or traditional feast. But like fall, Pumpkin Ale comes but once a year!

Bomber from the lcbo in Niagara on the Lake, America’s Hat. Pours a golden amber caped by a silkey off white head with maximum amount or retention. Gobs of bubbling carbonation gives it staying power. Nose has an inviting mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Taste is a powerful dose of cinnamon upfront followed by nutmeg. The bottles claims are "generous amount of pumpkin." I just don’t see any pumpkin at all. Sweetness comes in afterward from pale and caramel malt. Medium body.

I'm not a big fan of pumpkin ale, but this one was part of the LCBO Fall beer program and their seasonal program. I like the fact that it was somewhat smoother (rich). Most notably, I received this beer for my birthday. :)

Bière achetée au LCBO. Couleur blond pêche avec une mousse fugace et un nez subtil de muscade et de cannelle . En bouche c’est goûteux pour une 5.5% avec des notes de citrouille épicée comme on les aime. Beau petit produit ! Cheers !

Pours gold with a pumpkin haze floating through it. A decent white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is somewhat herbal. Taste is a little sweet and a little bitter. There are notes of pale malt, pumpkin, herbal hops, a little clove and nutmeg and a hint of vanilla. Light bodied and medium carbonation. To me the spices are very restrained and that’s not bad. The pumpkin really comes through leaving that waxy pumpkin like taste. TBH not a fan of pumpkin, but this is a better beer than those spice tea version.

Pours a huge thick frothy white head and has a cloudy golden appearance. Some cinnamon and nutmeg aromas and huge pumpkin spice. This one really does have that pumpkin spice flavour. Has some spices and also more nutmeg is noticeable. A bit of caramel malts as well. Slightly wet mouthfeel. Medium retention. Pretty good.

650ml brown bottle. Gold colour, hazy, average white head. Nose has cloves and cinnamon. Taste is earthy with cloves and some bitter notes. A decent pumpkin beer.

Hazy yellow color with off-white head. Aroma has mostly spices associated with pumpkin pie but not really raw pumpkin. Taste has some spiced biscuits, grains and earthy hops with a light bitterness on the finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall it’s decent but nothing really special.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2016 Draught at The Local. Light brown with a vague oranginess. No head to speak of. Smells faintly of pumpkin with a hint of vanilla and pie spices. Vague pumpkin pie flavour with some malt and biscuit and an odd astringent aftertaste. I’ve had this beer in previous years, and it’s very inconsistent; some years are better than others, and this year’s isn’t that great.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 Not my favourite genre of beer. Fridge getting low & this seemed a strategic choice (eg I love this brewery) but I kind of wish I could just take out the garish spices (that are so integral to this style) & enjoy the base beer. Pumpkin ok, but this is mostly just clove & cinnamon. My sweet nephew (who is also a body builder) Tristan loves this beer & cthulhu bless him but I just can’t dig this. Of course, given the brewer & base beer, this is solid & better than most straight ahead pumpkin ales.

Bottle:   Comes across as a very solid example of a Pumpkin Ale.   Soft sediment floating about in a orange haze, small white head, foamy, little lacing.   Bright nutmeg and soft clove on the nose that carries through onto the tongue.   Lingers quite a while after the finish.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Flavorful from start to finish.   Solid example.   Thanks Mike!

Bottled. Sweet artificial aroma, the taste has too much cinnamon. Not refreshing at all.
