October 31, 2012 - on draught at the Bar Hop Black & Orange Fest. Clear and deep ruby-black with a large and lasting milky/creamy tan head (4+). Aroma is soo smooth, and layered: pumpkin spices, then actual slightly earthy pumpkin malt (not too sweet), then comes a lovely subtle medium roast dry nutshell/coffee malt - maybe a touch of herbal bittering, not much alcohol - splendid aroma, very spicy (8+) - taste follows, incredibly well balanced - I had two of these, and it just seemed better the more I drank, smooth as glass, no booziness, overt sweetness, bitterness, everything seemed in perfect harmony - first I thought "pumpkin beer with some roast" then it was "dry-ish porter with some pumpkin" then I said screw it, just DRINK. Thick, creamy, airy, no bitter aftertaste at all, it just slid off the palate - I really think this is the best new Ontario beer for me in 2012. Superb - and Mike L, in my opinion it was worth all the hassle you went through to make it!! AGAquino (704) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
Mini tasting at Samy’s. I love pumpkin ales, and was intrigued by this porter. Nice aroma, slight pumpkin, more intense spice. Nuanced slightly sweet pumpkin flavours. blankboy (7808) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2012
Draught at ’Great Lakes Project X’ at Milos’, London, ON. Nov. 17. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a small long-lasting creamy beige head and good lacing on the glass. Amazing aroma of pumpkin, vanilla, spices, roasted malt, ginger, chocolate, some sweetness and much more. Flavour of lightly roasted malt, chocolate, ginger and more spices, pumpkin and cream -- it’s quite creamy. Medium bodied. This was amazing and definitely my favourite pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. Deep dark brown pour with a thick tan head. The nose is quite spicy and mocha-laden with a nice creamy palate. Silky and spicy without any astringency and a lovely soft fruitiness. Silken palate with just the faintest hint of roasted malt. herrbrown1974 (427) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2012
Almost black pour, brown creamy nitro head. Great aroma. Pumpkin pie. Cloves, nutmeg, a bit of mocha. Beautiful creamy mouthfeel. Lighter porter flavours combine very nicely with the added things going on. Balanced and complex. Clean finish without doing too much. The is a great pumpkin beer. I’m sad we may never see it again. Well done GLB!

2012-10-31. Black body with a nice creamy tan head. 4+ Flavour is lovely, lots of fruity pumpkin up front, mild malty character, then spices in the finish and aftertaste. 7+ Super smooth average plus bodied palate feels like it might be on nitrogen. 3+ Aroma of fruity pumpkin, odd sort musty touch, muted dusty malt, modest spices. 7+ Very nice, the spices work very nicely with the other flavours. I’d like a fuller body personally, but you can’t argue with the creamyness of it. Lovely stuff. On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto neongolden (1822) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2013
(Draught at Bar Hop, Nov 1 2013) Pours very dark brown-black with a dense tan nitro head with typical related retention and lace. Aroma has roast coffee, lots of pumpkin flesh, blend of spices including ginger, a little chocolate. Flavour follows the nose well, pumpkin flesh and spice blend both big components, roast coffee and dark chocolate core there for support but not extremely strong. In the middle the pumpkin is dominant along with an interesting cacao/nutmeg combo. Finish some roast coffee, lingering spice. Creamy medium-full nitro palate, silky-smooth and fairly rich but not thick. The porter body isn’t too hefty but that lets the pumpkin shine, and the nitro is a good choice. Truly excellent pumpkin beer. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2012
[4911-20121031] Tap. Fragrant spicy fruit aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Cinnamony gingerbread spice roast chocolate flavour with a pleasant spicy aftertaste. Medium-full body is quite creamy. Wow, lovely! (7+/5/7/4/16) 3.9

Black pour with a thin layer of off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, spices cola(?) slightly leathery. Pumpkin really comes out in the aroma as this warms. Taste of a spicier pumpkin pie, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, Nutmeg. Roasted malt finishes. Very smooth. Creamy mouthfeel. If this were bottled next September/October I’d be in for a case. sudomorph (1188) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 19, 2013
Cask days 2013. Pours a very dark brown with a thin, bubbly white head. Aroma is big pumpkin, roasted malts, and a hint of chocolate.
Taste is a balanced bitter with a solid roasted malt/pumpkin aftertaste.
Medium body with a low-medium carbonation.
Overall very good. Would be my goto pumpkin beer!
