Hints of caramel, nuts and toasted malt result in a fully flavoured, yet deceptively smooth lager. A well balanced body makes it a perfect year-round beer. Red Leaf is an ideal match with burgers, rubs, sandwiches and stews.

473ml can from the brewery. Pours a crystal clear, dark caramel colour with a one finger, off-white head that thins fast. Mild ring lacing clings to the glass. Aroma has notes of bread and caramel, with hints of vanilla, laced with roasted malts. Taste is a balanced bitter with a bready caramel finish. Low-medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Crisp and fairly clean in the mouth. Highly drinkable and moderately refreshing. Overall not bad. Nothing offensive but nothing that blows me away. Definitely more malt forward but that isn’t a bad thing. I would probably buy again to switch it up from the IPAs. Could be a good well rounded brew to have around to offer to people that might not like a more crafted taste. Cheers!

Not bad but not great, easy drinking and pleasant but lacking. Had heard this was their answer to a certain "Red" on tap in a bjillion bars. Based on that this is superior, just not my usual GLB expectation. As I drink this it is actually very thin, was expecting better

Pours clear dark amber with a small off white head. Aroma is carmel malt and nuts. Has a carmel, roasted nuts and toffee with a mild sweetness and a smooth body. A good easy drinking beer

FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 29, 2016
Toronto 2015 trip +++ Sampled from a 473 ml can this beer poured a nut brown color with an orange hue and a medium sized fluffy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with notes of toffee and a strong egg white presence. The flavor was malty and sweetish with toffee and egg white. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Pours a dark Amber, with a small bubbly head. Aroma has notes of nuts, caramel, toffee, and lightly toasted malt. Tasting notes include nuts, caramel, and rich malts. Mouth feel is slick and warm. Delicious!!

Can at airport. I would not call this smooth. The aroma is a bit lagers plastic. The taste is nasty, taste old somehow.

0.473 draft. Clear, coppery color and a small, off-white head. Aroma is standard, mostly malts, some sweet bread, hints of corn. Taste is simple; malts, a some caramel, a very delicate hint of alcohol. Light to medium body, slick texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is short-lived and generally follows the taste. Overall a mediocre beer.

Poured from a 473 ml can. Dark brown color with good amount of head. Nutty and a little heavy for what u would expect from a lager. Not necessarily bad but definitely a surprise. leaves a watered down nutty flavor behind which I am not a fan of.

Poured from 473mL can. Copper with dissipating off white head. Light toffee and biscuit malt with grainy lager quality.

BBD: not found??.
In short: a watery vienna lager.
Pours clear dark amberwith nice off white head. Moderate head retention, poor lacing. Caramel, liquorice aromas.Light body, average carbonaton, some crispy texture. Taste is malty, sweet, some metalic and watery. Enjoyable anyway.
