January 14, 2012 - on draught at Volo. Clear amber pour with a large lasting frothy/foamy pillowy head. Aroma is fairly tart/sour, plenty of cereal grain backbone and some herbal bitterness. The taste - lovely! - hugely sour, much more than the grainy aroma, lemon juice dominates, grain just frames it. Average body, a little chewy, quite acidic, decent light carbonation, finishes quick and dry, the grain re-asserts in the aftertaste .... good, could be better. Pine nuts? Okay, if you say so .... jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Sampled at Kramer’s Campground Brewdown 2012, not sure who brought this one. Pours a golden amber body with white lacing. Aroma is light earthiness, toasted malts, and a light sweetness. Mouthfeel is light with notes of light nut, light sour funk, lemon, citric hop, and toasted malts. j12601 (13297) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Had this at the Campground Brewdown I think thanks to Jeremy and Kathryn. Pours a golden amber with just the lightest haze under a thin white head. Musk and sour funk, and it does have a light pine nut aroma going on (but that could be my imagination). Toast, musk, fuzzy phenols. Sour acid, lemon, tart acid, lemon peels, tangy tart acid. Musk, lingering acid. Tasty enough. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 20, 2012
651mL thanks to mabel and jerc at Campdown Brewdown. Pours a clear orange with weak foam. Nose is sweet orange and lemonade with sweet tea. Taste is clean, lemony, citric. Lightly tart. Not really "sour". Subtle and clean. blankboy (7865) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
Bottle [22oz]. Pours a murky orange-copper with a small long-lasting fizzy off-white head. Aroma of lightly sour fruit, nuts, a touch sugary sweet, caramel malt and lactic notes. Flavour of sour fruit, pine nuts, strawberries, lemon juice and lactic notes. Quite carbonated, a little too much so. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good.

surprisingly good sour. Maybe the extra month in the bottle made a good difference. Funky aroma, lemony sour citrus taste, withs econdary pineapple and brett. Liked it. Palate attacker. mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 28, 2012
[4247-20120112] Tap. Strawberry rhubarb pie filling aroma. Murky, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Tart strawberry rhubarb theme continues in the flavour with a powerful sour punch upfront. Medium body is pretty sour initially. Really interesting to try, just not in pint form for me. Overheard: "It tastes like Tequila, limes, and salt."
Appearance: Cloudy orange, small white head, aroma: lactic, sour, a little apple, grass and strawberry. Flavour: strawberry, tart, tingly on the tongue, fruity and metallic, nice apple and carbonation finish. Spab (4219) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 30, 2012
On tap at Volo. Pours a clear amber colour with decent-sized off-white head. Aroma is fairly mild sour apple/pear. Flavour has stronger sour fruit quality, but with a bit of a metallic character. Somewhat interesting, but not my favourite Great Lakes beer. robinvboyer (4811) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2012

Clear amber pour, with no head. Aroma of sour apples, touches of citrus funk, and some wet grass. good mouthfeel, but pretty flat. the lack of carbonation is a little annoying. Finish is tart, with more apples, and some more light funk. really swirling the glass brings some of the barnyard, hay funkiness to the forefront, but it’s faint. interesting beer.
