2012-06-22. Hazy dark orange body, small beige head. 3+ Mild aroma is lightly fruity, mild dry malt, pale malt, hint at woody birch bark like character that is probably in my head/influenced by the birch in the name. 6+ Flavour is mild, bit odd, sort of fruity up front with an odd bitterness following it up, odd something to it that I can not quite define... vaguely citrusy touches. 6+ Average plus bodied palate. Bit strange, I wonder what this might have been like earlier in the evening. On Cask at C’est What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries, Toronto

A hazed amber ale with a thin lightly lacing mocha head. In aroma, interesting sweet malt and spruce tips with black pepper notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with loads of fir tree, coniferous, menthol notes, cooling mouthfeel, nice. On tap at C’est What’s Festival of Small Brewers, June 23, 2012.
