3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
April 20, 2012 - on cask at Volo. Looks a lot like pure grapefruit juice - murky yellow-orange, not much head. Smells amazing - pungently catty with waves of underripe fruit (mango?) - tropical and yummmmmmmmm. Taste I am not digging so much - way less fruit and fruit tartness, and the bitterness is pretty bog standard grassy, not the pungent catnip in the aroma - not much alcohol; papery and a bit harsh too. Thick, acidic and still mouthfeel - long bitter, dry acidic mouthfeel - not at all sweet; interesting, could not drink a whole pint of it - a weird one for sure.
Appearance: Grapefruit juice, cloudy, tiny white head. Aroma: Beautiful mango, really rich and aromatic, zesty, tangy. Flavour: mango flavour, salty, lovely and tangy, really refreshing, a nice mouthfeel with a little orange peel in the finish. Quite good. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
Cask at Volo, April 20. Pours a wild-looking yellow-peach with a spare diminishing bubbly white head. Great aroma with tons of citrus fruit, catty & resiny hops, mango, yeast and herbs & spices. Flavour starts with catty hops followed by mango and citrus and finishes spicy & bitter. Average bodied. An interesting and enjoyable beer, I thought it was really good. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
[4379-20120420] Cask. Sweaty pine orange aroma. Murky, tan orange body with no lasting head. Bitter orange fruit flavour has a bit of a butter spruce wood base. Medium body. Fair citrus bitter. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

2012-04-19. Murky dark pastel orange body is near headless. Fruity, lightly yeast aroma, muddled citrus. 7+ Flavour is similar, lots of mango, modest bitterness throughout that grows in the finish. 7+ Palate seems light at first but gains gravitas as it goes, under carbonated. Enjoyable, tasty but likely better on tap with some more carbonation and clarity. Cask at Volo, Pre-IPA Challenge, Toronto

Most interesting, Xperiment, at Bar Volo one-off event. Orange juice coloured body, thick looking.Good hoppiness. Citrus aroma. A tad of mango in the finish. Very good drinkability.Fuller mouthfeel, surprising for a cask (see above).
