Smooth, yet hoppy bitterness. Not a serious malt flavor but a good balance with the sweetness from the hops. NIce amber coloring, and a slim amount white head. My only complaints lie in the fact that it has a rather watery feel, and not much of an aroma Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 21, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2006 definately a top notch pale ale-some different hop flavors for a pale ale-more german hops, maybe saaz? pours clear orange with a sudsy wispy white head. aroma is piney with notes of grapefruit and grainy malt husks. Flavors are dominated by the citric and piney hops (cascades) pretty fresh and pungent. some nice malt husk notes accent the finish. finish is long, dry, piney with some citric sweetness. I'm very impressed with this beer! Orangish amber. Mild malt sweetness. Hoppy and bitter but mild and tame and great!!! Brilliant. jgb9348 (6256) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAR 18, 2003
Dark in colour to a normal APA, quick fading head. Malty taste but definately hoppy. A good overall APA! aobecksy (700) - Middle of no where, Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2003
Beautiful looking beer but too piney, with big maltiness. (I was expecting something more from every one else's raves). But in the end the Nosferatu prevailed.

Nice copper color with a bit of an off white head. Fresh hoppy aroma. Pleasant burst of hops up front with lingering hops and malt in back. Would love to have it on draught but unfortunately am stuck in an area where about the only draught beers available are Labatts and Bud. There oughta be a law...jt Panzuriel (2256) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - MAR 2, 2003
Decent Pale ale. Not terribly good in any way. Okay, color. Decent flavor with a malty kick. Good aftertaste. JahNoth (1039) - Rochester, New York, USA - FEB 27, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2003 Well balanced, beautiful looking pale ale. Alarmingly high pine flavor usually seen only in IPAs. But the malt comes through in a big way. Tasty. tzakiel (81) - Virginia, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Had a session of drinking this beer and playing super monkey ball 2 on gamecube. Not the best we've had. It's okay. raindog (560) - Evansville, Indiana, USA - FEB 18, 2003
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2009 BB 22/march:Golden brown, liquid, with a soapy, frothy, head that leaves a nice ring for the remaider. Aroma is hoppy(piney, grassy)with plenty of malt in there too. Mouthfeel is very full for a pale, with perfectly done, soft carbonation. Fruity, slightly sweet malts, cereal, lead to dry, citric, toasted malt finish. The floral hoppiness in the finish is just delicious.Just like the rest of there beer, clean, tasty, and well done.I love Great Lakes.
