An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

On draft. Cooper color with one finger head. Grapefruit aroma. Caramel and slight hop taste. Enjoyable.

Transfer from BA review on 8-29-12 - Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a clear orange-amber colored brew with a one finger white head. The head faded relatively fast to give a lighter amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma was of a bready and malty base with good hint of chop aromas. The hops were quite well done, with them being a nice blend of a grapefruit, lemon, pine and floral nature. Taste – The taste begins of a malt base. The malt is lightly roasted with a good bready taste. Some lighter hop flavors of a grapefruit nature are present right up front and are mixed with a more caramel like sweetness. Soon however other hop flavors of a pine and earthy nature greet the tongue. While these enter, some of the caramel fades, leading to a bittering of the taste overall. In the end the citrus grapefruit seems to resurge leaving a slightly hoppy and light roast malty flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was medium in terms of creaminess as well as in terms of its carbonation Fairly easy to drink, but lacking in some complexity. Overall – A good tasty easy drinking brew with a good balance of malt and hop flavors.

Bright light orange with a slightly tan foaming head. Flavor and aroma are pine sap and orange. Tastes a little better than it smells thanks to a backing of sweet caramel flavored malts. Classic APA, I could see this used as a reference for the style just as much as Sierra Nevada.

Golden hue with orange highlights. A big solid foam cap with good retainability. Well carbo’d. A nice citrus hop aroma with malty undertones. Aroma is nice and pleasent but unassertive. Some bready maltiness with a citrusy hop taste. Hints of fruitiness. Medium body that has a clean fresh taste and is nicely balanced.

Bottle. Pours fairly clear amber with nice off white head. Nose is tropical and malt. Nice malt sweetness in the taste. Molasses? Nice pale.

Very smooth for a pale ale. Bitterness from hops is there from beginning to end and the malt flavor backs it up nicely.

Bottle from Meijer in Columbus. Pours a clear orange-amber with a white head that it retains. Nose is a nice caramel backbone with white grapefruit, hints of mild pine sap, and a little bitter orange. Flavor starts off malty then goes to white grapefruit, bitter orange, then some miscellaneous citrus, then it finishes crisp and clean with mild citrus lingering on the palate. Light to medium in body and a very nice pale ale overall.

Draft. Light copper with medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops with some biscuit. Medium/light body with medium citrus hop bitterness and some biscuit notes.

It has an amber color with excellent clarity. Its head is foamy and white in color. It builds up big and thick before settling back down to a thin cap that leaves behind rings of lace on the glass. The aroma is full of floral and piney hops over sweet bready malts. Hop bitterness has a bold presence from the start to the finish. Bready malts are just strong enough to support and add some balance to the crisp citrus and piney hops. The finish has a slow bitter hops fade. Carbonation is pleasant with a light and smooth mouth feel in the medium body.
