Color is an attractive copper with an off-white medium sized head.
Aromas are fairly hoppy with pine and citrus aromas.
Taste: the word that really comes to mind for this beer is "balanced". There are plenty of hop flavors but they are nicely balanced with malt flavors. The finish is pleasant with some crisp carbonation and a dry finish.
I am not much of a pale ale fan, but this is a very good one that I really enjoy. peterschreurs (113) - Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2014

Expired Bottle by about two weeks. Aroma is very sublte, hop character is diminished quite a bit. Taste is nice though, very slight citrus and pine. Will have to get a fresh one. czar (9601) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 19, 2014
(near suggested consumed by date) pours slightly hazy bright golden-orange with a small creamy white head, some retention and lacing. spicy herbal tea leaves, oranges, peaches and apricots - almost candied and lightly sour-ish fruitiness, grass and pepper, citrus, hint of cardboard. moderately low carbonation, light body - oily assertive yet balanced herbal-grassy-citrusy finish. a fresher bottle would enhance objectivity here. a nicely crafted not-over-the-hill apa.

Pours a copper color with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet, malty. Taste is equally sweet with a bit of citrus pine and a rather bad metallic aftertaste. Mark_Eck (1998) - - AUG 9, 2014

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a clear orange-amber colored brew with a one finger white head. The head faded relatively fast to give a lighter amount of lacing.
Smell – The aroma was of a bready and malty base with good hint of chop aromas. The hops were quite well done, with them being a nice blend of a grapefruit, lemon, pine and floral nature.
Taste – The taste begins of a malt base. The malt is lightly roasted with a good bready taste. Some lighter hop flavors of a grapefruit nature are present right up front and are mixed with a more caramel like sweetness. Soon however other hop flavors of a pine and earthy nature greet the tongue. While these enter, some of the caramel fades, leading to a bittering of the taste overall. In the end the citrus grapefruit seems to resurge leaving a slightly hoppy and light roast malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was medium in terms of creaminess as well as in terms of its carbonation Fairly easy to drink, but lacking in some complexity.
Overall – A good tasty easy drinking brew with a good balance of malt and hop flavors. Dhammond42 (8) - - AUG 1, 2014 does not count
