An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

Pours clear gold, lively effervesence; amble, white, fluffy head - subsides quickly. Aroma - slightly citrusy, and slightly musty yeast. Flavor is hop forward, quite dry, musty yeast, minor citus, a very faint hint of peach/apricot, a little pepper. Palate is has a nice malt substance and a long dry hop-bitter finish. It’s OK but not what I look for.

Smell is very dank which always turns me off a bit. Taste is excellent with good mouth feel. Very drinkable but many other ipa beers out there I would go to first.

I got this in a trade with joe1510. Thanks Joe!

It pours an orange amber with a huge head of foam and some nice lacing. Great head retention!

The smell is of earthy malt, some caramel, some fruit, and a light nose of citrus but it also has a bitter smell in there.

The taste starts off bitter with some grass and just a tad of citrus. Another sip in and I notice the malt which has both caramel and earthy flavours and...oh there's some biscuit as well. The mouthfeel is medium and very nice, the carbonation medium, and it finishes with a nice bitterness that lasts through to a shortish aftertaste. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

My second brew from Great Lakes and yet another tasty and interesting brew. My hat's off to them, for sure, for making an APA that kept my interest from first pour to last swallow. I really do like well made APAs. :^)

Too bitter for me. Sorry, I had to upload these old ratings. They were for me, not for uploading. And also I need 75 characters, hence this sentence. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear copper color and a thick white head. Aroma is a little pine, a little malt, and a hint of citrus. Initial taste is pine, floral, rye?, and caramel malt to balance things out. Aftertaste is a light pine bitterness. A creamy medium body with just enough carbonation. A great pale ale that doesn’t go too far. Well-balanced and drinkable.

On tap at Great Lakes CLE. Clear medium copper with a small short lived white head leaving patchy lace. Light caramel with some pine and citrus but nothing standing out. Flavour has the light sweet malt base with a medium bitterness. Mouth is medium- and slick with average carbonation and a fading bitter finish. Didn’t quite live up to expectations. 7/4/7-/3/13

Very pleasant, drinkable pale ale. Smooth enough to go down easy but had just the right amount of flavor and bite.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: hint of sweet corn, malt, yeast/dough, caramel/molasses, APPEARANCE: medium Amber, clear, slightly off-white head (hint orangey color) TASTE: toasted malt, some chocolate, bran, bread crust, some herbaceous, moderate hoppiness and bitterness, smokey dry finish. PALATE: medium body, good balance, fresh/crisp, smooth/watery, lingers on tongue/cheeks. OVERALL: solid ale with nice balance between roasted malt and bitter/tasty hops, enjoyable, not too heavy but robust enough to take your time drinking.

Bottle. Clear copper color with a caramel malt aroma. It has a nice clean mouth feel and is light bodied with just a hint of sweetness. Very drinkable. .
