Bottle. Aroma of honey, nutmeg, cinammon. Pours mild copper thin off-white head. Mild bitter taste. Medium body, sticky texture, above average carbonation, spice filled finish. OVerall this was ok, flavors worked pretty well together.

Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with bubbly off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of mild spice notes over a light caramel and bready malt base. Taste follows, clean and light, but something dirty about it, a bit of oxidation. Meh, not one I would go out of my way to have again.

Sweet light cinnamon candy flavor. Yeasty malt. At brewery. Thin head. Ok for a Christmas ale. Not over the top. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a clear tan with a small white head. Aroma is a nice cinnamon and overall gingerbread cookie sweetness. Flavor is more gingerbread and cinnamon with a little treacle in there. Well past it’s best by dated but the spices are still holding up. When drank fresh the spices must be off the chain, maybe a bit of age on this beer will do it well.

BeerdedDave (1875) - Beckley, USA - JAN 25, 2017
dark amber - red color; malty, spicy aroma with cinnamon notes; a nice well balanced beer with just a hint of cinnamon and ginger; smooth and malty up front leaving a bitter, spicy taste

DATE: January 13, 2017... OCCASION: Watching Avatar with the boys for the first time... special stuff... GLASSWARE: Mad Elf snifter... pours a dark amber body with a scarcity of bubbles... a thin ring of white encircles a small island of patchiness... at 7.5% ABV, expectedly short on head... cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, pear, rum, bright citrus (orange peel, lemon)... first sip is vibrant, warming, effervescent and driven to the tongue... a robust, full-bodied sipper that leaves a palatable aftertaste... cherry, apple, cinnamon, light nutmeg, light bread malts, and a sweetness that entices... a BIG flavored ale that warms and welcomes without weighting you down... doesn’t compare or compete with more nuanced or developed seasonals...still, quite solid...

Aroma cereal, citrus, clove, oranges, Appearance amber, orange, hazy, white foam, Taste medium sweetness, Palate medium body, Overall another good Christmas beer just not my style. Lots of spice and orange. I would not suggest this beer to a friend.

Pours very clear light copper, almost off white head. Aroma starts malty, then ginger and honey hits strongly. Taste is surprisingly hop forward (or is that cinnamon bite with orange notes?), with hints of the ginger, cinnamon and honey. Mouthful is medium to heavy.

Johnstledger8 (1328) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 31, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clearish copper orange with a fading light beige bubbly head. Aroma is of cinnamon, ginger, honey, red fruits, caramel. Taste is of ginger, orange, warming spices, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, biscuit, honey. Watery to oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

MNAle (228) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2016
Golden amber, lightly carbonated. 1 inch slightly off-white head receding to a foamy cap. Spicy aroma, ginger, with a mix of perhaps floral-ish notes. Smooth feel. Taste follows the aroma, with the ginger / spice dominating, but to me it just tastes a bit odd; I can’t pin it down. No bittering to speak of, with the ginger lingering into the finish and aftertaste. There is no sense of alcohol warmth, either. Overall, disappointing.

Bottle from Liquor Barn. Pours deep copper with quickly evaporating white head. Aroma of cinnamon and malt.
