Medium bodied and well hopped with dry, fruity aftertaste, this monumental India Pale Ale honors the hero from The War of 1812 who battled the enemy on Lake Erie.

dambor (688) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2016
Pours golden orange with medium head. Very interesting aroma of malt (almost like wort, but in a pleasant way) coupled with ripe citrus fruit, in particular sweet oranges. Taste: very citrusy with a focus on oranges and lemon, followed by pleasant long hoppy aftertaste. Perfectly mirrors what English ipa is about. This beer is world-class.

On tap and bottle poured into a tulip glass. Golden color with an off white head and little to no visible carbonation. Aroma is mildly citrus with hints of apricot, caramel malt, and pine. Taste is a heavier on the pine with some floral notes and is a little peppery. Nice medium body and low but biting carbonation. Definitely enjoyed this more on tap but from the bottle is good too. Remarkably well balanced.

joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 5, 2016
On tap at the Backyard Alehouse in Scranton. It pours a clear light golden color with an off white head. The aroma is lightly herbal with some grapefruit and citrus. The flavor is very herbal, lightly vegetal with some multigrain bread and toast. Biscuity malts. It’s a bit watery on the palate with low to medium bitterness. Meh.

coachd (836) - Missouri, USA - JUN 26, 2016
Bottle at beastcraft BBQ and craft beer in Belleville. Very slight aroma but pours out a nice looking light Amber color. Tastes smooth and refreshing with a very manageable hop bite that lasts well into the aftertaste. Excellent palate, very drinkable. I've never had a Great Lakes beer before, based on this I would give them another try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. Hazy amber body with medium white head. Nose is hoppy, floral, citrus. Taste is quite hoppy, some spices, and fruits. Enjoyable.

jredmond (8284) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Bottle courtesy of my man, Minh - at Lillian’s first birthday party! Assertive bitterness with not too much palatable hop flavors. Lots of sweet malt, grains and spice. Somewhat generic overall - or maybe just stale.

oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 8, 2016
