UPDATED: SEP 23, 2007 Sept 2007. Bottle. Golden orange-yellow body with a huge fluffy white head. Light hoppy aroma is quite mild, pleasant but very muted. Flavour is bitter, moderately fruity with notes of grapefruit, and oddly sweet tropical fruit. Alcohol is not in your face, but is lightly noticeable throughout, amplifying the bitterness. Smooth average to medium palate. 7/5/7+/3+/14 - 3.5 July 2007. Draft at the brewpub. Yellow almost headles body. Interesting aroma, light citrus and a melange of well blended fruit. (7+) Bitter flavour, and pleasantly fruity hops showing light grapefruit, lemon, and a touch of lychee in the finish. Alcohol is quite restrained. This is tasty, but not what I was hoping for - the flavour is quite pleasant but not nearly assertive enough. Others have rated ths highly, so perhaps I will crack open the bottle I picked up to compare. 7+/3/7/3/14 - 3.4

A clear dirty blond color with a white head. Aroma is has a mild yeast appeal. Taste is fairly modest with just the right amount of hoppy bite to it that makes it a real IPA. There is a hint of metallic flavoring to it in the modest dry aftertaste. This beer is what I think about when I imagine what a good IPA should taste like. Quite nice.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Clear amber, average frothy off-white head. I get a ton of pineapple in the nose, dry floral hop bitterness; restrained. The taste is also pineapple, with lots of grapefruit, and slowly building dry funky hops - again, simple, restrained, dry and sneaky-boozy. Decent body, very astringent, mildly alcoholic, long non-aggressive bitter finish - I really like this one, I’d drink this a lot, wish it were readily available in my area!

12 oz. bottle courtesy of illini08, thanks Jeremy. pours a golden honey in color with a slightly off-white head and pretty decent lacing. aroma is mostly floral hops with some grapefruit noted as well. flavor is more of the same with just enough malt to help add some balance. a rather dry bitter aftertaste that goes well with the floral hop profile. would make for a nice session IPA!

Pours a mixture of bronze and golden with a fully receding white head. Aroma of orange, citrus, grapefruit, sticky toffee. Taste is toffee, hop resin, and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is full bodied, resinous with lively carbonation.

12oz best before 8/23/07 - Aroma is a bit off, not sure if that’s the way it’s supposed to be or not. Like wet alfalfa sprouts, play-doh and dust. Pours transparent orange with a small head and good lacing. Flavor pretty much matches aroma. I can taste some hop bitterness, but the overall flavor is not appealing to me at all.

12 oz bottle. Wife said this was an ipa but by the aroma on the nose a yeasty bready aroma thought it may be a barleywine. Gold body with white head and decent lacing. Fruity peaches for flavor along with a sweet heavy malt texture. A fruity sweetness lingers on the palate. Glad the wife pick this out for me while on vacation. Man I’m spoiled.

Pours a clear golden amber with a half finger head . Good retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet malts and nice grapefruit hops. Taste is brown sugary malts up front with citrus and pine hops cleaning off the palate. Creamy mouthfeel but not chewy. Excellent IPA!
