Honey yellow pour with a firm white cap. The nose is an initial hop blast, but strong buttery notes start to emerge as it warms. Thin bodied with little malt backing. The best thing about this IPA is the tongue scraping bitterness that lingers long into the finish. Piney and grassy with some rindish notes as well. I may actually choose Burning River over this though for drinkability.

FANTASTIC IPA! This brew absolutely surprised me! Great aroma, and the brew itself was full of complexity and flavor. The complexity of this IPA blew me away! It was a fantastic balance of initial bitter, hops, flavor, and alcohol. This was an excellent IPA, i highly reccomend!

Golden/orange with a short lived head. Great hop aroma - lots of pine and citrus. Decent malt middle before nice bitter finish. Very well made.

Bottle. Somewhat subdued hop aroma but nice. Aromatic. Slight haze, otherwise clear body with scattered slow rising bubbles. Large, lasting, very slightly off-white head. Nice appearance. Excellent IPA. Strong and piney. I cant believe Ive never rated this brew before. For some reason I seem to have trouble remembering which GL brews Ive had which ones I havent. Very underrated.

On tap at the brewpub. Light straw color with a thick head. Aroma is mostly pine resin. Body is medium and tastes about like the aroma. Fairly quick finish.

not a huge fan of ipas, but this was pretty good. nice hoppy flavor, and very drinkable for a prety high octane beer. poured from the bottle, golden amber in color, nice head. good beer.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2008 Bottle pours a golden color. Head dissapears quickley but glass laced beautifully. Tremendous hop flavor, with citrous and pine notes and a hint of malt flavor. The bitter aftertaste sits pleasantly on the roof of the mouth. This is one of the finest IPAs I have had.

Clear deep amber with a medium head. Head dissipates quickly, leaving little lacing. Aroma is biscuit, with grass and pine hops. Taste was fresh hops, not overpowering, and caramel/biscuit malts. Descent beer in all respects.

Pours a light, clear, amber, with an off white head that leaves strong lacing behind. The aroma is hops, with an undertone of alcohol. The flavor is of strong hops with a hint of floral notes, with a long finish. Overall, a good sessionable IPA.

I had this beer around July of 2006 and did not like it. But I just tried it again as of March 2007. I really do like this beer. Not a massive aroma but pours with a massive head. Nice hop and citurs notes the roll very well. Nice finish.
