12floz bottle (BBD 04.12.2017) bought as a single for $1.50, 7.7% ABV, 70 IBUs, poured into a mug glass. Appears amber in color with one finger of bubbly head. The aroma is mostly earthy, but also has some lemon zest. Body is medium-full, alcohol is not totally hidden behind the hops. Grapefruit, buttered toasted bread, and orange rind comprise a more of a bitter (moderate) than a fruity/juicy hop based American IPA. Pretty good stuff here. I like that there is some semblance of a malt presence. I would like the alcohol content to be about 1% lower though. davismeadors (1) - Upland, Indiana, USA - MAR 15, 2017 does not count
Bottled From Meijer near Toledo. Medium, balanced hops, amber slightly lighter than alpha king, sweeter taste at the front and bitter finish. ffaoe (792) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - FEB 18, 2017

Bottle from J’s. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Light peach aromas with lots of honey. Clean on the palate, but a tad boozy. More honey flavors. Sweet finish with a lingering honey and bitterness.

Bottled. Pours clear deep golden with an average off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, florral hops and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice IPA indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 ChiGuy68 (599) - Illinois, USA - NOV 28, 2016
Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured a clear golden hue with a small white head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, banana, and mild spice. Taste of hops and malt with a slightly bitter finish. A decent, mild mannered ipa. mambossa (337) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Bottled day-of from brewery. Clear, luminescent gold. Tangerine, orange, and papaya heavy on the nose, bit of candied lemon skin. Cereal and gently spiced malt. Flavor has a medium body with ripe lemon and orange, some papaya, whiteflower, and super soft notes of eucalyptus. Medium dry, noticeable malt presence. An easygoing, tamed IPA with an oily linger with some tinge of fresh alpha acid. uvajed (187) - Ravenna, Ohio, USA - SEP 13, 2016
Another fantastic beer from Great Lakes that doesn’t skimp on anything. Looks nice in the glass - hazy amber, white head. Nose is spicy hops, citrus and maybe pepper. The hop flavor is strong but not over-done, and with a definite tang. A really well-done brew that is not for the uninitiated but perfectly drinkable for IPA fans. Bonus points for being local and available all over the place here (NE Ohio), both bottled and on tap. muzzlehatch (4958) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 28, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #36. 12 ounce bottle consumed in early August 2008. Pours a very clear dark gold, smallish off-white fizzy head...while there’s fruity in the nose and hoppiness, it’s a less oily/juicier, drier sort of aroma, mixing apples, cherry, some light resinous elements and caramel...in the body it’s solidly, strongly bitter throughout, more juicy and fresh-fruity than the nose would predict, but not at all syrupy...lightly effervescent, perfectly carbonated with a lovely fullness of body and yet extremely quaffable. Very solid, bordering on excellent; I’ve had it a few times since but probably not since 2012 or so and really should give it another go.
