COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This smooth lager strikes a delicate balance between malt and hops in the aroma, palate, finish and body. It has more body and less hops than a Pilsner, and less malt and more hops than a Munich style lager. 30 IBU.

nice full body...with subtle but flavorful hop characteristics..giving off a nice spicy hop aroma..quite smooth and refreshing with hints of orange peel and mango

Had one really great glass & one ok glass. Couldn't really complain with either, but the 2nd wasn't as good as the first.

An excellent lager. Good balance between the hops and malt. Strong dough/bread prescence in the flavor. Fairly big-bodied with a smooth and clean finish. Good stuff.

See through yellow gold, musty foot aroma that is somehow spicey as well. Aroma reminds me of a beer garten on a cool, damp fall day. . . Good toasty bread flavour - fresh french crusty bread and sourdough. The aroma wasn't that pleasant for me, but the flavour and clean finish makes up for it.

Golden with a off white thick and creamy head. Deep malt aroma with a hint of dry floral/herbal hops. Thick and nearly chewy in feel. Lightly toasted bread sweetness in the front followed by a firm crisp hops bitterness. Smooth and satisfying.

Worthy of the gold medal, an excellent lager, give a couple bottles to friends. Picked this up while on business near Cleveland (didn't get a chance to visit brewery, maybe next time!). Nice golden color with small head. Aroma shouted german lager and the taste was clean with no bite. Works great with the spicy food I had for dinner that night. Very drinkable and highly recommended. Good dortmunder style beers are so hard to find in the USA.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2004 This is one of the best beers I have had. Teriffic balance between hops and malt, great flavor, and decent aroma. I don't like many lagers, but this one is awesome.

The color is truly amazing, as close to being gold as any I've poured. Short lived head with reasonable lace. Hops are very present, but fade nicely in a good smooth aftertaste. Touch of metallic to the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel that makes me happy.

Golden colour with a very slight orange tint. Many small bubbles rising from the bottom, while a small white head sits atop. Smells of hops and malt and a semi-strong ale. A nice flavourful beer with definate hoppy inital taste with a very smooth aftertaste. A good all around beer, but not my favourite style.

This is a pretty decent ale for a local brewery. I was quite pleased with it.
