Dark amber color with a medium white head that settles quickly and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma of licorice and black pepper. Flavor has licorice, lots of hops and lots of malts. Could be better balanced. omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 4, 2002

Golden color; creamy head. Simple aroma, quite malty flavor, a bit crispy.
Rich golden colour; hugely malty, toasty, caramel nose & palate; very big & chewy for the style. Finishes smooth

Poured into a nonic pint, this is a fairly clear beer, amber in color with a finger of soapy off-white head. A nice bread character to it. Earthy and slightly citrusy hops (orange peel, for the most part), and a subtle toasted character. A touch of pepper is there and maybe a hint of grass. Flavor is surprisingly heavy on the citrus peel and grass. A slight hop bitterness with a decent earthy quality. Bread, toast, and hints of toffee provide the malt character. yeast is also prominent. Light to medium in body with a moderate carbonation. Easy to drink, clean, and crisp.
Bottle from Archer Liquors. Light copper color with a transient, temporarily impressive off-white head. Aromas of pale malt and saaz? hop. Near medium body with fizzy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is amazingly bitter, almost overpowering the light malt. Comes a bit bready, but finishes nicely bitter and fairly dry. 30 IBU seems a good number. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 18, 2015
Bottle as shown. Pours a clear gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is a fruity hop and biscuit. Thin mouth with toasty malt, light fruit, grass, light dry finish. Good. Ratman197 (15361) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 27, 2013
