Dark red brown with a big tan head disipating into a soapy lacing. Aroma is very roasty and full of chocolate and sweet brown sugar. Lots of coffee and chocolate. Clean cereal malts. Pumpernickle. mr_kimchee suggested coffee crisp chocolate bars, I would tend to agree. Mocha. Very tasty creamy finish.

Dark brown pour, with a small tan head. Not quite opaque, but approaching it. Roasty coffee/malt aroma. Flavor is surprisingly chocolaty, with a very coffee dominate finish. Some English hops are present in the finish, but arent overpowering, even at the 60 IBUs they claim. Fairly dry finish. Good mouthfeel -- creamy and thick compared to most other porters Ive had.

Bottled. From trade with OhioDad, thanks. Pours a dark brown with small tan head but not dark enough to prevent light from passing through. Aroma is of roasted barley and coffee with some caramelized sugar and molasses present. Flavor is of rich chocolate and roasted coffee with a surprising earthy hop flavor to complement the dark flavors. Bitterness is smooth and adequate for the flavor profile of this beer. Caramel sweet upfront with a moderately dry finish. Body is pretty full for a porter with a creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good porter.

Bottled. Black, small creamy head. Coffeeish, roasty aroma. Dry with soft mouthfeel and notes of licorice and a pleasantly bitter finish. Very elegant. Quality all the way through.

bottle. pours a deep dark brown colour with a medium sized mocha head. great aroma of coffee beans and bittersweet chocolate...but its mostly burnt coffee. full roasty body with a tingling carbonation. this is quite bitter with a lot of chocolate flavour. long bitter chocolate finish. a nice porter, too bad about that wreck though.

Thanks to Scary Aaron for bringing it with him for his east coast trip. Poured a dark brown producing a nice tan head. Strong roasted flavor with the malt with some nice chocolate in there as well. Wish I could of had more than 2.

Poured from bottle jet black with almost zero tan head. Aroma of roasted mocha. Flavor is mostly chocolate and coffee. Full bodied. Bitterness gets you on the back of the tongue in the swallow and aftertaste. Better served a little warmer than cold.

Pours near black with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is heavy with a delicious sweet aftertaste. The additional hops provide a nice contrast to the dark flavours, other porters are missing this. Perhaps a tad too sweet for my taste buds. But still an excellent brew from one of my favorite breweries.
