[2017] 650ml bottle. Clear golden with a frothy white head. Flavors are yeast, lemon zest, apples, vanilla, apricot and oak with spicy and funky notes. Light body, good carbonation, slick texture.

Bottle from Huntsville LCBO. Shimmering golden in the glass. Fantastic hot summer day drinking beer while grilling jerk chicken on the back patio. Shimmering mouthfeel. Tart apple cider from the barrel graces this well made saison. Doesn’t get much better than this around here.

Bomber from the lcbo. Slightly hazy yellow/orange pour, with a small white head. Aroma is quite earthy, and woody with a solid twang. Tart apples, sharp apricot, and some light citrus. Effervescent carb, lively mouth feel. Finish is slightly funky, earthy, hints of floral herbs, cider barrel and tart, funky fruity esters. Complex, easy drinking, nice stuff.

June 15, 2014 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Hazy orange-gold with a smallish off-white bubbly head. Smells great - thick apricot/pear/peach sweet saison with plenty of yeast/spice - sweet yeah, but nice ... apple? wood? smells like dessert! Taste follows, but nice sourness and light bretty/woody funk notes to off-set the sweet, and building apple brandy as well (I know, it’s cider -that’s an IMPRESSION). Solid body, airy, a little sticky, finishes quickly with a wisp of acidity and apple/appleseed bitterness in the linger - very more-ish.

650 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear amber, then cloudy when the yeast is poured in. White thinnish head. Pouring in the yeast gives this a serious flavour boost. On the nose I get sweet herbal notes with some funkiness, apples and pears. Same goes for the taste. I get the cider juicy/sweetness balanced will with the yeasty esters. Slightly tart finish. These guys should to more collaborations. June 2014 bottling.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Light wheaty base, with lemony citrus, apple, some faint musty acidity, and some faint fruity sweetness. Pretty good.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2014 A bomber from the LCBO. Pours a semi-transparent straw colour. Very thin white head rapidly dissipating. Aromas are of light citrus and white wine. Tastes are peach, pineapple and more white wine. Overall, having been aged in cider barrels, they’ve had a positive effect on this one, making it a kind of marriage between beer and white wine. Quite delicious and very drinkable.

Bottle (650 ml). From Marcus, thanks! Almost clear golden with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is quite interesting with a nice cider presence, grains, nice frutiness and light spiciness. Taste is quite fruity with a nice cider presence, grains and light spiciness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Quite tasty and easy drinking. The Cider really add a nice layer of complexity.
