Bottle shared at local BA tasting and draft at Barley’s Smokehouse.
Poured a clear yellow-amber color with an average creamy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy herbs, lemon and earthy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
This is a good beer for style and my expectations where met. Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 1, 2007
Cask version at Barley’s 5th Annual Mini RAF (04/28/07): This beer is a hazy yellow color with a thin and quickly diminishing white head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is yeasty with some ginger and lemon. Light, crisp body with zesty citrus, wheat and ginger flavors. The finish is refreshing and citrusy and leaves a mild bitter hops aftertaste. A lawnmower beer as only Great Lakes could provide. j12601 (13035) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 6, 2009
Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Smells of grain and herbs. Lightly vegetal. More grain on the body. Ends with a light dry bitterness. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2009
Growler acquired in trade with goryshkewych (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of ginger (but not over powering), bready, herbal, grass, and some citrus. Tastes of ginger, citrus, a little fruity (bananas), and spices. Kind of odd saison. Pours light coloured body with abundant white foaming head. Herbal, yeasty and some spice aroma, al together rather odd. Taste is herbal tea married with beer, drinkable but not something i would seek out again. Middling mouthfeel.

Appearance: hazy light gold, frothy off white head, drippy lace
Aroma: sweet and spicy aroma, touch of funky feet
Flavor: sweet malt flavor, lots of spicyness, growing touch of funk
Aroma: 5/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 5/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a nice sized fluffy ivory head. The aroma is strangely vegetal with some earthiness. Some herbs and floral notes sneak through. Flavor also has some off vegetal notes around what is otherwise sweet, lightly toasted, herbal, and citrusy. I don’t know if we had the best bottle and will be giving this another chance at some time. I know this brewery can do better. phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 22, 2009
12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a small eggshell white head and lots of visible sediments. Aroma of Belgian yeast, straw, grass, honey, citrus, coriander, farmhouse, and floral notes. Flavor is vegetal and yeasty, with notes of citrus, banana, straw, grass, dirt, and sweet malts. Medium bodied, with a dry, yeasty mouthfeel. This one is appropriately named- earthy and loyal to the farmhouse ale style. It just has an odd flavor and lingering aftertaste of grass and yeast. sebletitje (10285) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 6, 2009

Highly underrated beer.
pours nice clear golden, white head.
Aroma of wheat, chamomile is very upfront, some earthly aspects, some sweet leaves, probably the basil with hints of citrus.
Flavor, hints of spices; coriander, some hints of pepper?, wheat, malts, herbal with chamomile.
Finish is smooth and sweet.
