Issue a small craft advisory: this South Bay Bessie-inspired brew unleashes a beastly hop attack amid torrid tropical flavors.

Lots of citrus and some mash malt in here but has a weird aftertaste. Too much mash malt tanginess. Pours orange with ok head and lacing. Bottle.

Tap @ Sienna Mercato roof top. Caramel with cream head and nice lacing. Smells a little like caramel and a little like lemon- not getting a good bouquet, may be a little cold.Sweet then bitter. Dry.

Bottle. Medium amber. Thick head. Hoppy initial aroma but not my favorite scent. For the ABV, relatively smooth. Balanced malt nd hop taste. Not my favorite hop variety but not bad. Couldn’t drink alot of these in a row. Bottom line, just not a hop variety that I enjoy but a solid beer

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow color. Aroma and taste are biscuit malts, caramel, citrus, and pine.

BBD 10/6/15. Pours a clear medium amber, slightly darker than gold. Normal head volume, slightly below normal retention and quite good lacing. Light nose of orange, mango and light pine with spruce aspects. Hints of biscuit are underneath. Light medium body with a very smooth texture and creamy hints. Superb carbonation with a nice bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice finely bubbled prickly finish. The flavor profile is almost world class. It begins with an intense blend of tropical flavor (mango, orange and pineapple) that flows into a pine/spruce flavor with a touch of spice. The middle brings a flavorful mild bitterness and a solidly sweet biscuit to balance that has light caramel notes. The finish is a slow flavorful fade (hop and malt) with just a hint of the 9.1% alcohol on the palate and at the back of the throat.

Tap...real nice fragrant floral aroma and a sticky pine taste with hop high notes present. Silky mouth feel and easy drinking monster.

Bottle thanks to Tim. Pours a clear orange with small off white head. The aroma is pine, floral, citrus. Medium mouth, honey, pine, citrus, light bitterness, juicy, very good.

Nice Amber color with a small white head. Strong aroma of hops with a sweet tropical fruit scent. Fruity flavor in the mouth that turns bitter and somewhat harsh at the back of the throat. I really liked the smell and the initial taste but not a fan of the bitterness and unpleasant burn in the throat.

Pours a dark but clear rust orange. Has a strong fruit and citrus hop aroma. Taste is also really strong with fruit malts, citrus hops, caramel, and pine. A medium body with a lingering bitter hop and dry fruit malt aftertaste.

demannu (451) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 6, 2015
Aroma mainly mild citrus with some slight pine. Deep golden color with a hint of amber. Dense head, fair retention, good lacing. Sweet start to this beer with a slight bitterness in finish. Balance seemed a bit off, a bit on the sweet side for an IPA. Medium body, light carbonation, long dry finish. Great looking beer that just seems a bit off overall.
