[5507-20130619] Tap. Roasted wet dog fur and fruity bubblegum aroma. Clear, dark red orange body with no lasting head. Fruity orange flower perfume flavour has a bitter red wine finish. Medium-full body. Interesting. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Pours a clear red with a weak white head that disappears almost instantly and leave zero lacing. Aroma is nice and fruity, cherries of course, smelling like a tame kriek. Cherry meat and oak, mostly. Taste is only slightly acid but still lovely and refreshing. Strong cheesy flavors and wood, vinous. Less cherries than the nose would suggest but still plenty. A lightly bittersweet finish. Body is light to medium, mouthfeel really winey. Carbonation is higher but I find that to be fitting. I would never have guessed this was a saison "base". Really good! Stupid name, wonderful beer. It really does look like a deep rosé with a bright clear cherry red color. No head, Aromas are tart red cherry and smooth sweetness. Taste tart and sweet red cherry over spice, mild funk and light dryness. Oaky toast and vanilla in subtle compliment, rounding out the taste and refined finish. Extremely good. If only Great Lakes had named it Weedwacker Clavicle... but I suspect that one is forthcoming. neongolden (1609) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 (Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 29th 2013) Pours a gorgeous fairly deep rose colour, like a Tavel, with a thin white head, short-lived with some lace. Aroma when cold is fairly sweet, fruity, cherry, wood, light earthy spice. As it warms the aroma picks up much more tart sour cherry characteristics, stronger barrel wood, slight must, light Brett sourness but not too funky. Again the flavour is sweeter when cold but hits its stride when it warms. Light sweetness from the fruit but mostly loads of tart cherry, some Brett sourness to start, oaky richness, spice, earth, slight wine-like character, lingering cherry in the finish. Body is medium, carbonation not too strong. Great combination of sour cherry and Pinot Noir barrel, tough to tell where one ends and the other begins. Extremely drinkable, refreshing, delicious. Love this beer! blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2013
Draught at Bar Hop. Pours a deep orange-amber with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma is really fruity, sweet and lovely along with some wood and light spices. Fruit is grapes, sour cherries and more. Flavour is fruity and spicy and really tasty! Average to medium bodied. I loved it!

2013-06-19. Ruby tinged red body looks almost orange in this light small head. Aroma is relatively mild but pleasant. Moderate fruity cherry, sort of musty but quite oak character? Flavour is pleasantly fruity, moderate sourness, cherry fruit. Sweeter sugary notes emerge briefly in the finish but lightly sour cherry is the lingering character of the aftertaste. 7+ Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Enjoyable. On tap at Bar Hop tap takeover. This is the Lackey recommended one. A cherry that is moderate as served too cold, then more nicely tart as it warms. Fresh, very fresh. Cherry aroma. Lace ring on light body.
