Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat, clove and a fruity finish. The taste is wheat, bread and big clove notes. Medium bodied. Not as much banana as advertised but still pretty good. DiarmaidBHK (5113) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Pours only somewhat cloudy from tap which is unusual for a Hefeweizen. Some Banana on the nose. nice banana and clove flavor on the tongue but the finish is all wrong. It should be a bit drier. joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2010
medium yellowish-brown with huge white head. hazy. mostly clove to the nose. mild bitterness before a very nice clove and banana yeast flavor with enough residual sweetness to give this a nice mouthfeel, which most other examples lack. very nice crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2007 Light yellow/light orange, very cloudy. Lemon mostly, with some banana and spice coming through. The wheat could’ve been more evident making it crisper, but still an easy drinking summer beer.
Although 2 years ago my ratings had huge banana in them, maybe they missed their mark this time. Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2002
thick body; light orange/almost dark almond color. had less wheat tangy-ness than most wheats. crisp, dry finish.
