Great summer beer. Not too harsh for those that like a lighter but tasty beer. Can only get it at the brewery. beerme31 (705) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2012
On tap. Pours hazy reddish golden color, thin white head. Aroma of banana, cloves, yeast. Mild sweet flavor. I liked this one because it wasn’t too clovey or too citrusy. Nice balance of sweet and spice, very refreshing. crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2007 Light yellow/light orange, very cloudy. Lemon mostly, with some banana and spice coming through. The wheat could’ve been more evident making it crisper, but still an easy drinking summer beer.
Although 2 years ago my ratings had huge banana in them, maybe they missed their mark this time. joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2010
medium yellowish-brown with huge white head. hazy. mostly clove to the nose. mild bitterness before a very nice clove and banana yeast flavor with enough residual sweetness to give this a nice mouthfeel, which most other examples lack. very nice Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat, clove and a fruity finish. The taste is wheat, bread and big clove notes. Medium bodied. Not as much banana as advertised but still pretty good.

Draft sample at the brewery. Pretty big overall. Thicker than expected mouthfeel from the wheat. Definitely a big helping of banana and clove notes. Pretty good. Tmoney99 (14970) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Draft sample at brewpub. Poured cloudy amber color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate banana, clove and yeast aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a solid sweet finish of moderate duration. Good refreshing brew. Drew (2470) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2002
thick body; light orange/almost dark almond color. had less wheat tangy-ness than most wheats. crisp, dry finish. tmoreau (4632) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 14, 2017
On tap at the Rigby in Madison, WI. for Great Lakes GToM pre-party, served to a goblet showing a hazed, orangey/gold color, with soft white head foam, and spiraling cling to the lacing. The nose was soft grain, slight yeast, light citrus, some circus peanut candy scent, and spice. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was similar notes, with clovey phenols that was dominant in the flavor. A refreshing Hefe, nonetheless. goosegossage12 (62) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Ok. Nothing special here. Very wheat taste that is notice bc of the unfiltered beer.
