Dark brown coloured body with a thinnish and very fast-dying tan head. Aroma of lactose, raisins, plums roasted malt and a touch of caster sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Very mild flavours with malt, lactose and raisins by far the strongest, without the body or the punch of oatmeal at all - this is all lighter malt with a touch of caster sugar and raisins. Aftertaste shows a little grain, some sugars and leftover lactose, but that’s it - no body, no depth and no real complexity. Overall, a decent beer at best and one that isn’t so good for the style - pretty poor actually, which is surprising for the brewery. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 10-December-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Dearborn, Michigan a day later on 11-December-2016.

Very dark with a small tan head. The aroma is nice, a lot of chocolate and medium roast, with caramel and coffee. The flavor has some rich caramel with smooth chocolate. Smooth body and mellow carbonation. Enwiebe (318) - - NOV 11, 2016
11/11/16. Draft at Beer Durham. Thinner lighter stout. Slight creaminess but not backed by either a malt backbone or ABV. Appropriately balanced bitterness. Overall low IBU.
