Tasted from bottle from one day release. Aroma is bourbon, caramel and toffee. Flavors of bourbon, nuts, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, molasses. Minimal bitterness with moderate sweetness. Overall a pretty well done beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark orange/Amber color, with small frothy tan head and little lacing. Aroma and flavor have nice bourbon bites, Amber malts, and slight bitterness. Well balanced and delicious

Hazy Amber/brown pour with a thin off white head and light sticky lacing .... Aroma of caramel, vanilla, roasted malts, light bourbon, nutty and light oak with a candied fruit as well .... Taste is sweet and of candied fruits, toffee, vanilla, nuts, roasted malts, caramel, some dry oak, light bourbon notes and a subtle dry hop bite on the back end ... Finished dry with a lingering sweetness, light bitter hop and dry oak/vanilla .... Smooth drinking beer and just a tad too sweet but sessionable with the abv hidden well

Bomber. Picked this up in May at the Brewery while at home visiting my girl. Saved it for my Fathers Day beer... and what an occasion it turned out to be: LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers broke a 52 year curse and brought a trophy home to the 216 for the first time since I was born (Im 44 now, so you do the math). So... about the beer.... its sweet, its carmelly, its barrel-y and its the perfect beer to drink to the end of an excruciatingly unparalleled drought in sports history. LeBron, youre forgiven, and I speak for the entire City of Cleveland when I say this: We love you (and yeah, I know I neglected to comment on the beer but gimme a break... I survived The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, The Strike and Game 7 against the Marlins). CLEVELAND MUTHAFUCKIN OHIO!!!!!! WE WIN!!!!

Pours a dark ruby red with very light tan head. Strong sweet malt, fruit, caramel and light bourbon aroma. A medium smooth body that starts with sweet malts, caramel, and fruits, but ends with a bit of a dark alcohol kick. Balanced aftertaste between the sweet malts and dark alcohol.

@ Party Town ( Friday Night Flights) / Florence KY --- Good aroma of malt and toffee. Cloudy medium amber with an off-white head cover, star fields of lace. Taste is pure malt and toffee that moves through light carbonation to a finish that barely shows hops (or needs to!). Noticeable alcohol late. A big, but enjoyable, brew. I could buy it again.

Howler from Rays Growler Gallery, shared with bananabi11 for my 100th American Strong ale. Orange brown pour with no head. Big vanilla. Fruits. Stone fruits. Well blended. Some alcohol. Finished sweet. The flavor is sweet, but fruity and it grew on me. 14.4

10/8/15. Draft at Criterion. Pours dark copper w min head and nice lacing. Sour fruit and bourbon nose. I'm thinking this is a very different recipe from past years based on the review. Maybe it's a strong ale but it is the most sour strong I've ever had. Sour dominates with bourbon in the background. Solid and very drinkable. Out there for Great Lakes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Winter Warmer Fest 2014
This was a noble experiment that just did not work out. Maybe it was a bad batch or the end of the keg. Whatever the reason I would give it a second chance at the brewpub. It does prove that not all beers are improved by barrel aging.

Aroma / Appearance - A warm coppery body with crisp eggshell head provide a nice container for caramel, malt balls, and vanilla. The bourbon sticks out but does so without the intensity of a bourbon bomb.

Flavor / Palate - A sweet mix of honey, bourbon, and caramel is nice at first. Very boozy after a while it does turn cloying by the last sip. A potent winter warmer was worth a pour. However given the choice Id rather drink Lake Erie Monster, Blackout Stout, or one of their other beers that stand out from the crowd.
