Ive never really understood the whole category of american strong ales but this seems like one of those. Caramel and undefinable hops. Bittersweet finish with booze. Hazy brown pour. Tap.

22 oz bottle shared by wihorock. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, barrel character, vanilla, wood, oak, a nice fruity background, caramel, sweetness cuts the abv somewhat, good beer.

Bottle shared by wihorock. Poured light brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy malt, wood and bourbon aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet flavor to medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with a complex solid beer.

22 oz. bottle shared by Ray - thanks again, Ray! Knocked one off my Wants list. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with about a centimeter of off-white head that settles into a ring and film. Very sweet, with notes of vanilla, cream, caramel, golden raisins, dried apple and apricot, mild spice, oak, and sugars. Medium-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a sweet, sticky mouthfeel. I'm curious as to what the base beer is here, whether it's something they offer separately. They certainly soak plenty of the barrel into it, but it's sweet enough that there's not a lot of booze heat here.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8405) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 18, 2017
Sampled on draft at Hugo’s this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasted caramel, brown sugar and golden fruit. The flavor was sweet toasted caramel, coconut, nut, brown sugar, golden fruit and a boozy presence that worked well. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied.
