COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rally Drum Red Ale is an American Red Ale, a modern non-traditional style borrowing heavily from characteristics associated with more classical styles such as pale ales or bitters. This unfiltered copper-colored ale is brewed with a blend of Harrington 2-Row Base Malt, Crystal 77, and Special Roast malts, yielding a toasty layered complexity. Cascade and Simcoe hops add bitterness and aroma.

Draft at Houghs in Pittsburgh. Nothing to rave about here and disappointed that Great Lakes has been dragging through the mud of late. Hope they get better down the road.

Piney and citrusy nose that is overcome by caramel malts. Dark reddish with thick, off-white head. Taste has similar effect, moderate hoppy notes, mostly piney that give way to caramel malts. Slippery on the tongue. Never quite commits to the bitterness or the sweetness.

On tap at whole foods. Nice dark or anguish amber. A little cloudy. Good balance and I like the style

On tap at P&P Charleston. Clear Amber with medium beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, lower carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is piney hops , some slightly roasted hops, and bitter finish. Not my thing.

On tap at Brunzies (7/18/15). Mild grain mash aroma an not much else. Coppery amber clear with thin lacing off-white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Clean ale with mild grain and caramel, neutral hop bitterness. Nutty sweet finish and light bitter after.

Draft pour. The beer is a clear amber with a white head. The aroma has vanilla and toffee notes. The taste is moderately sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation.

A good middle of the road beer. Aroma was burnt caramel, stale beer and earthy hops. Pour was a nice dark gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was a little disappointing. Thin and watery...almost like a Stone Arrogant Bastard with less flavor. Decent carbonation. Drinkable at best

Light barley aroma freaky consistency. Hazy amber pour with good head and lacing. Crisp barley finish. Tap at whole foods.
