Aroma is spicy rye malts, like a pumpernickel bread. There is a touch of broccoli sulfuric. I had always thought I was imagining this in the past but at least a year later I’m getting the same thing. It overpowers the hop, which is oily, resinous hops.
The flavor has less of that broccoli stuff, and is very spicy and well-balanced. The spice of the malts and the spice of the hops are a great combination on the palate.
The feel is rough and sandpapery. I’m not advocating to drink this one out of the bottle directly, but it’s okay to drink it out of a narrow-rimmed glass. It’s a very solid IPA that could be better if they could figure out that one off-flavor.
Pours an orangish amber with decent head and lacing. Malty, pine aromas. Bready, creamy, malt forward. commonshawn (1333) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 5, 2015

Six pack from Oliver’s in Albany. Pours out a murky golden amber with a frothy off-white head that settles to a thick lace. Herbal-citrus-malty aromas and flavor profile. Lingering light spicy bitterness. Solid IPA Thechasm442 (1006) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 4, 2015
12 oz bottle served in a tulip. Beer pours a hazy copper with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, orange, some breads and spice. On to taste. The beer has a pine resin, citrus hop flavor right off the bat. It is met with a nice caramel malt back and some spices from the rye. The beer is quenching and finishes somewhat dry. Great rye IPA. samsmith33 (772) - - MAY 29, 2015
Bottle to pilsner glass. Clear Yellow. Big white head. Aroma is mostly grassy, some hoppiness and citrus.
Taste: rye is forthright, some acetone in the finish.
Feel is fairly smooth, medium carbonation. The little bite in the finish is smoothed out by a creamyness, but it almost tastes soapy at that point.
Not too shabby.
