Dogbrick (13536) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Sample at Winking Lizard. The beer pours a clear bright amber color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, hops and fruit. Medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a toasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall. Sample at GLBC on 5/3/14. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruit and corn sweetness. Malty and caramelly sweet flavor with some fruit before a sweet lager finish. nickd717 (4822) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 10, 2011
On tap. Great bright clear golden color with a small white head. Sweet pale malt aroma, somewhat bready, with not too much to it. The flavor is simple with sweet caramel/honey malt notes and a light bitterness. Medium-bodied with medium-low carbonation. Decent for what it is, but not a standout. hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Draft… Clear, brilliant amber lager with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is both fruity and malty with a vinous splash of medium sherry. Full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is sweet, malty and lightly vinous with touches of toffee and caramel. Finishes sweet. I think this may have come off as less mundane and more enjoyable if there had been more carbonation. dnstone (3485) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JAN 4, 2011
Sweet an smokey aroma...a bit like bacon. Golden in color. Sweet, light and a bit of smoke.

GABF 09. Pours a deep coppery amber with a lasting off white head. Aroma is bready full toasted malts, good caramelization, toffee and light burnt toast- light herbal hops. Flavor is also skewed to the malt side which is nice- sweet, scorched honey, toffee, caramel, big toasted munich and caramunich malts, clean smooth finish. I like it! joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 12, 2009
golden brown with large white head. moderate to high carbonation. sweet malty nose. flavor perfectly melds together, with floral hop bitterness up front followed by sweet munich and some grainy malt character with nice residual sweetness that does not become cloying. the alcohol provides depth and no distraction, excellently made and flavorful version walrussell (192) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2009
meh. Good at first, but with a funky aftertaste, and actually really simple. My girlfriend said it tasted like water that cereal had been soaking in. Its a little better than that, but still. crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2008
Dark bronze pour, medium white. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is sweet malts all the way, caramel, butterscotch and that’s about it. Hops were very subtle and the 7% or so on the ABV added to the sweetness of this beer.
